Riti & Robyn are teaming up to bring you a series of incredible fundraisers in support of their chosen charities! 🙌 Not only will they be raising money for a great cause, but they’ll also be dropping exclusive merch to keep the whole club looking fabulous!

Mali (aka AUCFS President) is taking charge of this year’s runway! She’ll be keeping the club updated on all her successes and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for the most fashionable event of the year!🔥

24/25 Recap Newsletter 💛💙

Our new secretary Alice has put together a recap of everything Lax from Term 2, and what a busy couple of months it was! From our chaotic, silly socials to a packed BUCS schedule, we kept ourselves busy both on and off the pitch.

We’re so excited to welcome many of you back after the summer break! We’re also really looking forward to meeting all the new faces joining us in September and can’t wait to show you what our club is all about!

🌟 Star of the Month – May 🌟

May was an incredible month for our Lax Ladies, with some truly inspiring fitness achievements!

🏃‍♀️ Ami P and Guiletta VM took on the Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 24th, showing remarkable drive and resilience every step of the way.

🌊 Yasmine P. completed the Moray Coastal Trail, raising an amazing £1,101.46 for Parkinson’s UK which will go directly to support the Elgin Parkinson’s Group. An outstanding accomplishment for a wonderful cause!

🚴‍♀️ Elena W completed the Ponteland Sprint Triathlon, powering through all three stages with incredible strength and determination.

We couldn’t be prouder of these amazing achievements. Each of you has demonstrated true perseverance, and we’re incredibly grateful to have you as part of our club. Congratulations to you all!🫶

AUWLC & AUMLC Annual Spring 6s Tournament ☀️ ☀️

Yesterday, 7 teams battled it out in our super fun but chaotic 6s tournament. The team themes did not disappoint — we had Cows, Princesses & Knights, Wigalishous, Mario & Co, MnMs, Neon, and Discooo!

After a few hours of highly questionable (but very entertaining) lacrosse, Team Neon came out on top and took the win! 🥇 🏆

Massive shoutout to for the good vibes and to all the non-lacrosse players who picked up a stick and gave it a go!

And a huge thank you to everyone who donated to and 🫶🫶

Hope everyone’s finished with exams and enjoying the sun! ☀️☀️

If anyone has kit to return to the club, either kit you have borrowed and haven’t returned or kit you are returning for your deposit back, please bring it to the 6s tournament tomorrow at Kings (3-5pm).

you thought the lax year was over? don’t be so silly! we’re back at it with our infamous spring 6s tournament and we can’t WAIT to see you all there on the 16th May at 3pm at King’s Pitches 🥳🥳

this will be a great fun (in the sun 🤞) tournament in and of our fab charities Women in Sport and Alzheimer’s Research UK, so please bring £2 per person ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

all you need is to get into a team of 6-8 with some of your fellow laxers (+ you can get some friends involved from outside lacrosse) and sign up using the google forms link on facebook! i honestly couldn’t think of a better study break and can’t wait to see you all!! costume themes will be released closer to the time and we’ve included some inspo 😘😘

the link to express interest for a role is in our bio, pls fill it out if you’re interested in a role or speak to the girl currently in that role for more info ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

some important things to note:
1) in order to run for a position you must be nominated by a girl who has been in lacrosse for at least a year and then this must be seconded by another member
2) nominators must give a 30s short speech about their nominee and then it will be your turn to give a 2 minute speech about why you should be on AUWLC committee
3) voting will be all anonymous
4) it’s all in good fun - don’t be nervous, we’ll all be cheering you on
5) the AGM is COMPULSORY for all members so if you have a good reason not to attend you must let your captain know beforehand

happy game day!! our game against edinburgh was cancelled last minute but we’ve decided to not let this stop us and to have a 6s game in its place! 🥳🥳🥳

it will be a super close game with old girls v freshers and is lots of our girls’ last game so please come down and watch 🔥🔥🔥
