Today we channelled our inner Sir David Attenborough in celebration of his 100th birthday!
The children in KS2 have researched Sir David, including looking up species of plants and animals that he has had named after him, in preparation for writing a biography about his remarkable life.
In Class 1, we talked about being curious and how Sir David Attenborough's curiosity has enabled us to learn and understand so much more about this wonderful planet that we inhabit and how we can better look after it for generations to come. This has also tied in nicely with our current Science topic where we are learning about 'Living Things and their habitats'.
Next half-term we will be providing both a 'Gardening' after-school club on a Friday and a 'Planet Preservers' club on a Tuesday after school where we will be looking at how our small actions can make a big difference environmentally.
