Hundreds more children in Devon could become eligible for free school meals this September following a change to Government rules. From the start of the new school year, all children in households receiving Universal Credit will be entitled to free school meals, regardless of household earnings. 🌿🦙 What an unforgettable adventure for our Little Otters! 🐐🐷🐴

Yesterday, our Little Otters at The Clinton and Dolton Church of England School had the most amazing day at Woolley Animals Farm Park, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The children had so much fun feeding the alpacas, goats, pigs, ponies and donkeys, cuddling the chickens and guinea pigs, enjoying a tractor ride, learning how to milk a goat, and even meeting the lovely farm dogs. 🐶🐔🐹🚜

There were smiles from start to finish, lots of laughter, and so many magical moments shared together. It was a day full of fun, learning and adventure, creating special memories that we certainly won't forget anytime soon. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone at Woolley Animals for making us feel so welcome and for giving our children such a hands-on, memorable experience.

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to The Friends of The Clinton Primary School, Merton and The Dolton PTFA for helping to fund this fantastic trip. Your kindness and generosity made this wonderful day possible, and the parents for transporting their children to and from a lovely day. We are incredibly grateful for all your continued support. 💚

Last week we joined forces with Dolton Church of England School for our annual joint sports day. This year held at Dolton. The children took part in team games on the field in the morning and then parents joined us for the races in the afternoon. It was incredibly hot and we are very grateful for all the gazebos we were able to borrow for the event. Thank you to Mr Bashford for organising this supported by our PE teacher from LJD Coaching. Well done to all the children and thank you to the parents and families for coming to support the children.

We also joined a Picture News Big World Cup Celebration: What can football teach us? Zoom assembly. It explored what football can teach us about teamwork, how the World Cup has brought people together and what we can learn from winning and losing and the importance of both.

We had a visit from Edukid.org.uk - Education for a Brighter Future this morning. We had an update on the child we sponsor, Angel, and also a talk about the work they are doing to provide clean drinking water for schools and communities in Uganda. Can you Imagine carrying a huge container of water on your head for more than a few metres, let alone miles, just to be able to have clean water to drink?
