What a week of adventures!

🦦 Our Otters headed to the park for a celebration treat and got to enjoy a whole school Rocksteady concert that had everyone grooving. Meanwhile, our Badgers were busy channelling their inner mathematicians 🧮 while whipping up some seriously delicious biscuits. Talk about mixing fun with learning — measuring ingredients, calculating portions, and creating treats that tasted as good as they looked. 🍪 These children proved that maths isn't just about numbers on a page, it's about real-world magic happening right in the kitchen!

What an absolute highlight! 📚✨

Our Kingfishers had the incredible privilege of hosting author Helena Duggan on a Zoom call this week, and she generously carved out time from her holiday to spend with us. Helena kicked things off by reading the opening chapter of one of her books, then dove into answering the children's wonderfully thoughtful questions. 🎤

But here's where it got really special — Helena shared her author journey with such honesty and heart. She revealed that her first book took five years to publish and required nine drafts before it was finally ready. 💪 Her message to the children was simple but powerful: never give up. It was a beautiful reminder that perseverance and determination truly do pay off, and the children left that call inspired and energized. 🌟

🎨 Art Week brought some serious creative energy! Our class teamed up with the Otters and Ospreys to explore the wonderful world of charcoal drawing. We ventured out to capture the beautiful buildings around our town, and the results were absolutely stunning. 🏛️ There's something magical about charcoal that really brings out the details and textures of architecture.

What a fantastic way to celebrate art and teamwork together! ✨
