5 things I’ve learnt since starting my business… 💭✨

Starting my own business has taught me SO much — and not just about cooking or running a business!
I’m still learning every day, and trying to balance being a business owner alongside being a part-time teacher, wife and mum definitely comes with its challenges! 😂
Here are 5 things I’ve learnt so far…

It’s hard to switch off! 🧠
There’s always something that could be done, another idea popping into my head or a little job I’ve forgotten about.

I’ve realised I’m more capable than I thought. 💪🏼
There have definitely been moments where I’ve thought, “What am I doing?!” 😂 But figuring things out, trying new things and seeing the business grow has given me so much confidence.

The juggling act is HARD. 🎪
Being a mum, wife, teacher AND business owner means my days can feel very full! Some days I feel like I’m smashing it… other days I’m just happy everyone has been fed! 😂

The things I find easiest are the things I’m passionate about. ❤️
Planning sessions, cooking with the children, creating fun activities and seeing their little faces when they’ve made something themselves doesn’t feel like work. It reminds me why I started in the first place.

I’ve learnt to celebrate the little wins. 🥰
A new booking. A lovely message from a parent. A child coming back because they loved the class. A class that went brilliantly. They might seem like small things, but they all add up — and they mean SO much to me.

I’m definitely still figuring it all out, but I’m really proud of how far Cook Stars has come so far. ✨

Parents are often AMAZED at what their children can achieve. We gently encourage independence (and we don’t mind the mess!), giving little ones the time and space to try things for themselves.
