Tupney Duck Music will now be offering Primary Music Education planning, advice and guidance to fellow primary teachers. Look out for us on TES!

There will also be very limited opportunities for bespoke support, aiding the design of your own primary music curriculum. Please do get in touch if you feel this support would be useful, and we can discuss an appropriate package. 🎶

Sadly, due to a lack of interest, our Tupney Duck Music classes will not be running and all sessions are cancelled.

I understand that we are living in strange times and that some young families may not feel ready to step back into groups.

I'd like to thank those who did book on to the sessions and I appreciate your kind words and positive feedback. I'd also like to say a special thank you to Holy Trinity Church, who have been so accommodating and supportive of the venture.

I am hopeful that maybe some time in the future I am able to run seasonal stand alone workshops on different themes, and that maybe in the future our classes will develop enough interest for them to run.

In the meantime, give your little super stars a big squeeze and keep enjoying the magic of music and singing!

📢 Our next block of sessions are starting on Saturday 25th September.

We currently are very low on numbers, and we are therefore asking that bookings for the session are made by 5pm on Sunday so that we can assess whether it is viable for us to continue.

🎯 Friday Focus - Covid Safe 🎯

Despite the government lifting of Coronavirus restrictions, we understand that many families continue to feel anxious and concerned regarding the current situation. We understand just how important your family's safety and well-being is and with that in mind, we have a number of things in place in terms of the way we operate our classes to ensure they are as safe as possible.

🎶 Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities are available in class.

🎶 All children will be allocated a tray of resources, just for them, for use during the class.

🎶 All equipment and resources will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised after each session.

🎶 Touch points will be cleaned prior to use and between sessions.

🎶 Extra time is allocated between classes to ensure that cleaning can take place prior to the next session.

🎶 Places are limited and must be pre-booked to ensure adequate spacing. 2 adults are welcome to attend with their child and each family will be allocated their own mat and space.

🎶 Classes take place inside the church which is beautifully light and airy. Families are spaced out.

🎶 I have completed Covid-19 and Health & Safety training.

🎶 Please do not attend sessions if you or anyone in your household are displaying symptoms or feel unwell.

I do hope these actions go some way to reassuring you in uncertain times.

On Saturday 25th, our block of sessions begins with a harvest and food theme!! We have some fabulous action, movement, bounce and instrument songs to look forward to.

Each week we have a different theme, which often links with seasons, weather, festivals or other events.

Saturday mornings, Holy Trinity Church, Attleborough, Nuneaton.

Fluffballs (4-18 months) @ 9:30
Adventurers (18 months - 4 years) @ 10:30

Classes are £17.50 for the 4 week block or £5 per week.

🎯 Friday Focus - Class Structure 🎯

📢Hot off the press....
Following our successful free sessions last week and some lovely feedback, we have decided to combine our toddler and preschool sessions into one "Adventurers" class. These will be for confident walkers (around 18 months), up to 4 years, and will run at 10:30am each week that our sessions run.

Our classes run in 4 week blocks each half term, with our first block starting on Saturday 25th September. (Other dates in the block are 2/10, 9/10 and 16/10)

In addition to our 10:30am Adventurers class, we also run a Fluffballs baby class (4-18 months) at 9:30am.

All classes take place at Holy Trinity Church, Attleborough, Nuneaton. Sessions are priced at £17.50 for the full 4 week block, or can be paid at the start of each session, priced at £5 per week.

🎶 Theme Thursday 🎶
Each week at Tupney Duck Music we enjoy exploring a different theme!
This is a great way to keep classes fresh and interesting and it also encourages children to make connections with the world around them.
Our first block of sessions for Autumn 2021 begin on September 25th, and during the next few weeks, we will use seasonal topics such as harvest and autumn, in addition to other areas such as teddy bears and transport.
As we move through the year, special events such as Children in Need, plus various festivals, will also be used as inspiration for our sessions!

There will still be a predictable routine to classes, which children value in order to feel secure. We will always sing hello and goodbye, and there will always be a mixture of singing, actions, listening and instruments.

By changing the theme each week, children are curious to discover what the theme will be and how it connects to our world (and parents will be kept entertained by varied music rather than the same songs on loop! 🤣🙈)

😍 Wednesday's Wisdom 😍

Music makes the world a better place!
... and our music classes help little ones to develop both a sense of self as well as learning how to be with people their own age.

Music is a powerful tool to nurture our little ones as they grow into kind, loving individuals with a bright future! 🤩

Last minutes jitters?
Here is some information that will hopefully be useful ahead of tomorrow's classes.

Classes are at Holy Trinity Church, Attleborough, Nuneaton.
There is a car park just off Attleborough Road (turn off Avenue Road)
If you then walk through to the walkway, we will be using the main entrance at the end.

🥰 Things you don't need to worry about! 🥰

🍼 Feeding - Bottle or breast, if your little one is hungry and needs to feed, it's totally fine to take a break.
😭 Crying - it's totally normal for children to be overwhelmed with new sights and sounds. Don't worry. Take a break, have a walk about and return when they are happy to try a new task.
😤 Tempers! - These are all part of the learning curve. Tupney Duck will try to keep your child smiling, but if they need some time away, please feel free to take things at your child's pace.
😴 Sleeping - Result! If your child decides it's nap time, enjoy the rest! 😉
🦶🦶 Exploring - If your child is on the move, it's fine to let them have a wander. Let their little feet go and see what they discover.
🥰 Our classes are designed to be flexible, friendly and fun! Relax and enjoy!
(And remember, I will probably be just as nervous as anyone else in the room! 🤣)
