We've had a great term, preparing for our summer concert on the 11th July. Our Twinkle and Staccato (Book 1) groups have worked on creating a great sound as a group (as well as having fun with the Boomwhackers!) and our Legato (Book 2) and Tenuto (Books 3 and 4) groups have all been doing review and learning Ensemble pieces on violas! Our violin tone is certainly improving as a result ๐Ÿ˜€โค๏ธ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽถ

More things I love about being a Suzuki teacher!
Because we work on the fundamental skills of playing the violin before we add in music reading, pupils develop the ability to play with a ringing tone and accurate tuning right from the start. Once we add in reading music, we can place focus on that one skill without juggling the technical skills too. This makes for a more confident and motivated pupil when exploring new pieces!
Playing duets is one of our favourite things to do, and this pupil has developed a love for double-stopping (playing 2 notes at once) ๐ŸŽป๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽป

If you'd like to start this motivating musical journey with your child, contact Ruth for information about lessons. Spaces for new pupils aged 4- 7 years, located in Cotgrave.

I love watching my pupils flourish, both musically and as people. As we learn all that we play by listening to it first, many times, pupils come to work on pieces knowing exactly what it should sound like. Without the added hurdle of note-reading, children learn pieces quickly, accurately and with a beautiful sound. This gives such confidence and motivates them further!
It's such a pleasure to listen to them play!

I'm so lucky to be able to watch my pupils grow in confidence, experimenting with their instruments to find the sounds they hear.
