🌟 We are STRONG in every area! 🌟

Following our recent Ofsted inspection in April, Porchester Junior School has been judged to be working at a STRONG standard in every area under the new framework- a significant achievement that we are incredibly proud of.
Ofsted describe this as 'leaders working above the standard expected of them'. This reflects the consistency, ambition and care across our school, alongside our high aspirations for every child.

Most importantly, the report recognises that Porchester is a place where children are happy, feel they belong, are cared for and are supported to succeed.

We are incredibly proud of our children, staff and whole community. This reflects what happens in school every single day πŸ’™

What an amazing SATs celebration afternoon Year 5 and 6 have had!

Year 6 have been incredible this week, showing real resilience, focus and determination as they tackled their SATs. They approached each day with such a positive attitude, supporting one another and truly giving their very best– we couldn’t be prouder of all they have achieved.

Year 5 have also been fantastic throughout the week, demonstrating maturity, kindness and teamwork. They have been a huge support to their classmates, encouraging them and helping to create a calm and positive environment.

What better way to celebrate demonstrating the PRIDE of Porchester than with an afternoon full of creativity, cricket and inflatable fun (for both children and staff!) πŸŽ‰

We have had an eggcellent day in school today! πŸ₯šβœ¨

We were absolutely blown away by the creativity and effort that went into this year’s decorated egg designs- they were so difficult to judge. Take a look at them in our video.
A huge well done to all of our pupils for their fantastic creations! πŸ‘πŸŽ¨

Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without the return of our always enjoyable egg roll, which brought plenty of smiles, laughter and a little friendly competition! 🏁😊

Have a lovely Easter break everyone, from all of us at Porchester.

World book day πŸ“š

We had a book-tastic day yesterday at Porchester!

We kick started the day with a virtual author visit from Matt Goodfellow, author of β€˜The Final Year’. Matt spoke about life with ADHD and how his creative mind has inspired his story and poetry writing. 🧠

There was also a great buzz around our book swap. It was lovely to see the children taking home lots of quality books and stories in exchange for a pre-loved book! πŸ“š
