We at TLES have been sent an invitation to the Tech Mentor National No-Code Hackathon.

The Tech Mentor National No-Code Hackathon is a STEM virtual experience where you will work in teams to solve real-world challenges using modern digital tools.

After all, what's a better way to understand technology other than building it yourself?

All students between 14 and 18 are eligible to apply—

Event details:
• Sunday 12th April
• 10:00am - 4:00pm (online)
• Students aged 14 - 18
• £15 per student

If you would like more information about the event or would like to register, click the following link: https://techmentor.org.uk/national-hackathon-competition

The event is beginner-friendly if you are just getting started and you don't need to have any experience with coding - they just want you to be interested and happy to participate!

Afterwards, you will receive:
• A certificate recognising participation in a national technology competition
• A completed project or prototype suitable for portfolios or applications
• Experience presenting ideas and solutions
• Exposure to potential technology career pathways
• A week-long lunch early pass in school once you have shown me (Mrs Williams) your certificate

Winning teams will also progress to the National Finals on 11th July 2026, where teams compete for the following prizes:

• 1st place: £1,000 for the team and £100 to each winning team member’s school
• 2nd place: £750 for the team
• 3rd place: £500 for the team

Dear Parent

Attached is the FACE Family Advice timetable for April 2026.

FACE offers parents practical advice, information and support, across a wide range of topics, including supporting neurodiverse children, understanding emotions and managing behaviour.

Go to facefamilyadvice.co.uk Go to PARENTS – Live talks page.

To access the talks free of charge, please contact school to receive the access code.
This can be used by any parents from our school for unlimited access to all the regular FACE Parent Talks (usually £24 each). The code cannot be used on any other FACE services and must not be shared with parents from other schools.

At the payment stage of booking, add the school code where it says ADD PROMO CODE. This will drop the price from £24 to £0.
