Before the titles, the judging panels, and Black in the Ballroom, Oskar Odiakosa was a kid taking two buses to class, saving lunch money for lessons, and finding his own way into a world that didn’t always make space for him.

This teaser is a glimpse into a conversation about ambition, belonging, identity, originality, and where DanceSport is heading next.

✨As we approach a new season of dance, a lot of CHANGE starts to happen, you change classes, change costumes, change shoe size and sometimes change choreography. 😬

But not all change is good change or necessary change …. Ask yourself : is it the choreography that needs to change or my approach?

Throwback to The English Gala 2024. ✨

Looking back on some beautiful memories and realising that you should just post that video, post it in full, post it to the original music, perfect or imperfect, just post it. Self-critique isn’t unique, whatever your “thing” is, is probably 100 other people’s “thing”, It’s just much more heightened when it’s ourselves because we often hold our own self to an untenable standard. Don’t get so bogged down in the imperfections that you miss the sincerity, the emotion, the authenticity and just that burning passion you have for dance.

Everyone that came before you has their thing and everyone who comes after will have their thing but no one, absolutely no one, will ever look this good in brown 🤣🤎
