So much of Maths learning is about seeing relationships between numbers. Had a fantastic session recently, where we discussed how knowing a simple addition fact could help us answer more complex calculations.

SATs results are due out this week, so I thought it was important to reiterate this message to all of the Year 6 children who are awaiting their results.

As adults we all enjoy different things and learn at different speeds, children are no different.

Some children just need a bit more time, a different explanation or someone who can help them to see how to approach things in varied ways and who can be a cheerleader for them.

That’s one of the many reasons that I started tutoring, I love to see children taking control of their learning and developing in confidence and self-belief. Something that can be increasingly hard in a busy classroom.

I offer support for primary aged children and those transitioning to secondary school.

Had some lovely sessions lately 😊.
It’s so amazing to see a child develop in confidence. Taking small steps in a supportive environment and having a variety of things to do really helped this learner to see what they could achieve.
