Calling all prospective parents, carers and students...

Our combined Sixth Form and Academy Open Evening is on Monday 5 October, from 4:30pm-7:00pm.

Come and meet our dedicated staff who will support your personal development and share your ambition throughout your learning journey from year 7 to year 13.

Nottingham Girls' Academy is a Secondary School and Sixth Form in Aspley, Nottingham. The Principal is David Tungate.

The Academy is delighted to announce another year of strong results for students. The whole Academy community is incredibly proud of everyone receiving results today, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their A Levels at the Academy.

While all pupils have done well, there have been some impressive individual performances. These include:
• Maya Mansoor, who achieved grade 9s in English language, English literature, history, biology, chemistry, physics, and sociology;. grade 8s in maths, and polish; a. grade 7 in statistics; and a grade 6 in Spanish.
• Sofiia Kurko, who received grade 9s in English language, English literature, maths, history, and physics; grade 8s in geography, chemistry, Spanish, and further maths; and a grade 7 in biology.
• Yasmeen Abbas, who celebrates grade 9 in English language, maths, geography, and sociology; grade 8s in biology, chemistry, physics, English literature, and further maths; and a grade 7 in Spanish.
• Sumeyya Matloob, who earned grade 9s in maths, geography, biology, chemistry, and physics; grade 8s in English literature, and Spanish; a grade 7 in English language; and a grade 6 in art.
• Safia Afzal, who successfully achieved grade 9s in maths, computer science, biology, and chemistry; grade 8s in English literature, physics, Spanish, and further maths; and Grade 6s in English language, history, and statistics.

David Tungate, Principal at Nottingham Girls’ Academy, said:
“Congratulations to our students who achieved a fantastic set of results. Our brilliant staff work hard to make sure our students can enter the next phase of life with confidence and ambition. I am incredibly proud of these young women and very excited for them in their next steps.”

Nottingham Girls’ Academy congratulates pupils after receiving A Level results.

Pupils and staff at Nottingham Girls’ Academy, located on Robins Wood Road and part of Greenwood Academies Trust, are celebrating receiving their A Level grades today.

The Academy is pleased to announce a successful year of results for pupils. Their determination and hard work have meant many have achieved strong results and will now progress onto their chosen next steps in higher education, jobs or apprenticeships.

There have also been some impressive individual performances, which include:
• Ithar Sherif achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Biology, and A in Chemistry. Ithar will be studying Neuroscience at UCL.
• Meherunisa Muhammad achieved a Distinction* in IT, a Distinction in Applied Human Biology, a B in Art and a B in Italian. Meherunisa will be studying Architecture at the University of Nottingham.

David Tungate, Executive Principal at Nottingham Girls’ Academy, said:
NGA are celebrating another set of excellent A Level results, and I could not be prouder of our students and staff. Our students have shown tremendous perseverance and commitment in reaching their goals, while our staff have worked tirelessly to provide the highest quality teaching and support. To celebrate STEM, our KS3 students had the opportunity to take part in an exciting ZooLab session on biomimicry!

Students explored how nature inspires innovation, learning about the incredible strength of spider silk and how it is influencing the development of new materials. They also discovered how the unique properties of gecko feet have inspired a range of inventions, from advanced adhesives to climbing technologies. 🦎🕷️

The engaging session encouraged students to see the links between the natural world and real-world scientific advancements.🔬💜

Our Silly Sports Day went ahead on Tuesday for students with 100% attendance, and everyone had the best time!

The afternoon ended with the much-anticipated staff dinosaur (and shark!) race.

On Friday, we celebrated Nations Day, one of the biggest events of the year! Students proudly showcased cultures from around the world through a colourful parade, performances, displays, and activities. It was a fantastic celebration of diversity, community, and learning. 💜
