Welcome back, everyone! We hope you all had a lovely half term and enjoyed the warm weather while it lasted. It’s been great to see everyone return refreshed and ready for the weeks ahead.

We are now into the final half term of the school year, it’s hard to believe how quickly it has come around. There’s a lot still to look forward to, with plenty of learning, activities, and events planned as we head towards the summer break.

Let’s make it a positive and productive half term and finish the year on a high. 💜

Year 8 trip to the Magna Science Adventure Centre! 🔬🦠

The students got stuck into the hands‑on exhibits, explored how things work, and really enjoyed seeing science and engineering brought to life outside the classroom. There was lots of curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm on show throughout the day, exploring the science behind fire, water, air, and earth!

Well done to all who took part and represented the school so well. A brilliant trip all round! 💜

Friday was an unforgettable experience - not just for the girls at NGA, but for Flag Football across the UK! 🏈🚩

We are incredibly proud to have partnered with the Baltimore Ravens to officially open a Flag Football Centre of Excellence & Development right here at NGA. This collaboration gives our girls exceptional, first-hand opportunities to learn, train, and be inspired by the very best in the sport.

Our students also had the amazing opportunity to meet Baltimore Ravens wide receivers Zay Flowers and LaJohntay Wester, along with members of the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders and the team’s iconic mascot, Edgar 🐦‍⬛

As part of the day, students took part in an inspirational Q&A session with elite athletes, including:
🟣 Caroline Dubois - Olympic medallist and world champion boxer.
🟣 Bianca Cook - Three-time Taekwondo world champion and double Olympic medallist.
🟣 Phoebe Schecter - Former GB American football captain and NFL Global Flag Football Ambassador.

What a day! 😮‍💨

Last week, 75 of our brilliant Year 7 pupils had the opportunity to visit the National Justice Museum as part of our Careers curriculum. 🥳

Students spent a full day at the museum, in which time they learned about how the legal system has changed over time, designed their own criminal justice system and even took part in a full mock trial in a real court room, playing the roles of Barristers, Judges, Prosecutors and Witnesses! 👩‍⚖️

Law is very popular plan for many of our students at NGA, and we are committed to helping students explore these opportunities wherever possible. 💜

Today, we enjoyed a wonderful Eid celebration filled with activities across the school! Highlights included a vibrant bake sale, beautiful henna and face glitter, lively music, dancing in the courtyard, and so much more. 🥳

Our Year 13 pupils took the lead on several of the activities, and all funds raised from the bake sale, henna, and face glitter will go towards their Leavers' celebrations. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so special! 💜

Eight of our Year 9 students enjoyed an inspiring day at The National Justice Museum, where they explored a wide range of careers within the law industry.

Through interactive workshops and engaging talks, they learned about the roles of judges, barristers, solicitors, police officers, and the prison service, gaining valuable insight into how the justice system operates.

A highlight of the day was a special demonstration from the drug‑sniffer dogs, which gave students a fascinating look into specialist policing work.

Our students were absolutely outstanding throughout - showing maturity, curiosity, and excellent behaviour. They were truly a credit to the academy, and we couldn’t be prouder.

A fabulous day all round! 👏📚⚖️
