Uh Oh! A crime has taken place over the holidays! Someone has stolen Mrs Riley’s chocolate bar. The F2 children will become detectives over the next two weeks and help work out which teacher stole the chocolate🍫 We’ll even have a visit from the real police as part of our topic ‘People Whp help Us.’

It’s important to teach our children the value of caring for our environment and looking after living things in our allotment. The children have been busy growing lots of vegetables and learning how plants grow and thrive 🫛🥦🥬🥒🫑🥕
🐾 To celebrate National Pet Month, we challenged our children to match our staff members to their pets! 🐶🐱🐹🐰
There were some tricky ones in the mix but our children had great fun making their guesses.

Year 5 have taken part in exciting team-building activities that have shown all of our school values: listening, thinking, communication and collaboration!✨
Year 3 have been transported back to Ancient Greek times to learn all about what life was like! 🇬🇷🏛️
They will be exploring Ancient Greek culture, daily life, myths and achievements through exciting activities and immersive learning experiences. We can’t wait to see what they discover on their journey through history! ✨

We’re excited to see lots of happy, smiley faces tomorrow at Huntington! 😊
We also have two very special new arrivals – our new guinea pigs! Tomorrow in assembly, we’ll be drawing names from the raffle to decide what they will be called!
What an incredible half term we have had at Huntingdon Academy!
From open days and SATs week, to being featured on the radio and the news, alongside so many fantastic learning opportunities, we couldn’t be prouder of our school and the amazing children, staff and community that make it so special 💙

Today for our Mastery Day, Year 1 created artwork inspired by the Great Fire of London using the artistic skills they have been learning this half term!
We then turned our classroom into an art gallery and enjoyed looking at and celebrating each other’s fantastic work. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work!
