I had a brilliant time at Love Languages Day today - thank you so much to everyone at UEA who made this fantastic event happen. It was a real celebration of language learning and definitely made me want to sign up for one of UEA's evening classes!
I ran a session at the event called World Language Games for Little Learners - we played games incorporating words in Arabic, French, German, Polish and Spanish and it was lovely to see the children all joining in!

Fridays are about to get even better - I'm launching a new Lingo Llamas preschool French session!
Join me on a language-learning adventure filled with fun and games, music and movement, and cuddles with Lila the llama.
The new term starts on the 17th of April, but I'm running a special free taster session on the 27th of March in case you just can't wait! (But don't worry if you can't make it - you can still come along for a free taster at any point in the term).
This session is for children aged 0-5 (siblings under 6 months go free) and will be held at the Belvedere Community Centre, Norwich, NR2 3AZ.
Drop me a message or an email at [email protected] to find out more!

I'm having a great time planning my Lingo Llamas sessions! My starting point is for each session is: "What do I want the children to learn, and what would be a really fun way for them to learn it?" I incorporate a rich variety of activities into my sessions so that children have the opportunity to learn in lots of different ways.
Children learn best when they're enjoying themselves, so all my sessions are about having fun whilst encountering a new language in a natural, engaging and creative way.
Come along for a free taster session to see what it's all about!
Message me on Instagram or Facebook or send me an email at [email protected] to find out more.

I'm really excited to be running a session for 3-6 year olds at Love Languages Day, organised by UEA's School of Media, Language and Communication Studies. My session is at 12pm - it's called World Language Games for Little Learners, and we'll be playing games in five different languages!
You can also meet UEAβs language experts and students, try out new languages with free 20-minute language taster classes, and take part in family-friendly activities.

It's the end of the first half term of my new languages club Lingo Llamas - it's been a brilliant few weeks, and it's been so lovely to meet all the children, parents and school and nursery staff. Thank you all!
If you're in Norwich and you think anyone you know might be interested in Lingo Llamas, I'd be super grateful if you could spread the word or give this post a share!

Hi everyone! My name is Romy, and I set up my languages club Lingo Llamas because I wanted to give children the opportunity to have fun with languages. We learn best when we're enjoying ourselves - that's why my sessions are all built around games, songs, arts & crafts and role play, allowing children to use languages in a natural, creative way!
Learning languages is brilliant for young minds: it helps children develop problem-solving skills, cognitive flexibility, open-mindedness and empathy. And children have a huge capacity for language learning, which happens unconsciously in childhood through listening, interaction and play.
If you'd be interested in bringing your child along for a free taster session, just drop me an email or a Facebook message - I'd love to hear from you!
I currently run an after-school French Club on Mondays at 4pm, and a Preschool French Club on Wednesdays at 9:30 am. These are both held at the Belvedere Community Centre, Norwich, NR2 3AZ. I'll be adding a Friday session at a different venue soon, so please get in touch if you'd like to receive email updates!

This week the older children made monsters with numerous arms and legs. This is Grendel. Il a les yeux rouges et les cheveux roses. Il a quatre bras et deux jambes. Monstrueux!
