We have another workshop at the Clare Futures shop tomorrow and this time we’re mixing embroidery with collage!

For those that don’t know, Clare Futures is an initiative of the wonderful Clare School – it’s a really lovely space selling creations made by members of the Clare Community and providing work experience for their students. They’ve also been hosting some fab creative workshops by local creatives (including us!) and we definitely recommend popping by.

Tomorrow’s workshop sold very quickly but there’s still 2 spaces left if anyone fancies some last minute fun! We’ll be exploring stitching on paper and created embroidered collages using found photos, magazines and postcards.

Bead weaving is back with a twist! Bigger beads, bigger fun✨

Our Bead & Weave sessions are always some of our most popular (and most requested for a return!) – but they’re also notoriously one of the fiddliest crafts we run 😅

So for our next craft social at Artichoke, we’ve bringing a more relaxed, slightly simpler variation that’s a little more suited to cosy pub lighting, good chats and crafting without intense concentration. We’re swapping tiny seed beads for bigger hama/perler beads – the melty ones you probably loved as a kid (or let’s be real, as an adult with yet another craft hyperfixation…)

We’ll show you how to create DIY cardboard looms and weave colourful designs that can be transformed into chunky charms, keyrings and all sorts of lovely trinkety bits. It’s a really chilled process, equally good for zoning out or chatting away. No experience needed – just come along, have a chat, and get making 🎨

We’re back for another round of creative mischief in .store’s lovely gallery space! 🎨  👀

This time, we’ll be getting messy and colourful, using squeegees to make bold, abstract paintings inspired by the likes of Moglea, Lara Fernández and Sharece Studios. We’re not aiming for “perfect” – just playful experimentation and happy accidents! You’ll leave with a stack of weird and wonderful prints (and maybe some paint on your elbows too).

No skills needed – just bring your curiosity and your best “let’s see what happens” attitude. It’s also a fab excuse to hang out, have a laugh and get creatively messy with some new people!

Come and join us for our next craft social at : Circular Weaving 🧶✨

We’ll be exploring fun, mindful radial weaving techniques inspired by contemporary fibre artists Tammy Kanat and Emily Nicolaides, using colourful yarns and recycled materials. You’ll learn how to create a simple cardboard loom and build up textured woven pieces which can become coasters, wall hangings, decorations and more.

Feel free to bring along any fun scraps of yarn, ribbon or fibres you’ve got tucked away at home – the more colourful and textured, the better!

No experience needed at all – just come along, get stuck in and have a go. It’s all about slowing down, experimenting and enjoying the process.

Cross-Stitch & Collage is back next week at  - just in time for Norfolk Creativity & Wellbeing Week…🧵✂️✨

A playful twist on our popular embroidered collage workshops, we’ll be taking inspiration from Petra Heidrich, Shannon Knowlton and Francesca Colussi to mix paper and classic cross-stitch in creative ways.

We’ll have a stash of photos, postcards, magazines and scraps ready for you to dive into, then show you how to bring them to life with cross stitch — from super simple to satisfyingly detailed.

Perfect for total beginners and seasoned stitchers alike, this is all about slowing down, getting creative, and spending a chilled evening in good company!

Learn to “draw in space” at our next craft social at the where we’ll be making Wire Portraits 🎨✨

We’ll start with playful drawing warm-ups and explore continuous line portraits, then bring them to life as striking sculptures using wire. No need to be “good at drawing” — this session is all about having fun, experimenting and making something unexpected. It’s also a great chance to unwind, chat and meet lovely people!
