An exciting opportunity for anybody over 16 that would like to take part in CHAIR! an outdoor pop-up performance as part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival on Saturday 9 May 2026.

When did our public seating disappear and what would happen if we brought it back? Set in a dreamlike world, CHAIR! imagines we can once again have public spaces that care. Where people can sit, uninterrupted, ready to relax, work, remember and have time and place to dream.

Come and take part in a celebratory performance with chairs plus, a mixture of every day and unexpected actions. Bring a chair or take a seat

No previous performing experience required only an enthusiasm for taking part in a performance that demonstrates joyfully how everyone has the right to sit down and dream

You must be able to attend the following rehearsals at The Halls, Norwich:

• Saturday 2 May – 11am–4pm
• Friday 8 May – 6–9:30pm

You must also be available to take part in the dress rehearsals and performances on Saturday 9 May, 10am-4.30pm

If you’re interested and would like to learn more about the performance and how to get involved, Geraldine will be hosting a Zoom on Wednesday 22 April at 7pm.
