🍼 Confused about childcare funding?
There are so many schemes and age bands, it can feel like a maze. Here’s a quick, friendly guide to help:
✨ From 9 months old – Some working parents can now get funded hours.
✨ From age 2 – More families qualify, including some on certain benefits.
✨ From age 3–4 – Every child gets 15 hours of funded childcare, and working parents could get up to 30!
A few things to remember:
📅 Funding starts the term after your child’s birthday.
🕒 You’ll need to apply before the term starts (31 March, 31 August, 31 December are the key dates).
💰 You can even combine funding with Tax-Free Childcare or Universal Credit to make it go further.
It’s all designed to make returning to work, or just catching a breather a bit easier!

Our week in photos ❤️

Lots of fantastic exploring and fun in nature, not just for Sir David Attenborough's birthday but because we love it! A few trips to Fairhaven Gardens meant we had plenty of opportunities to find, discover and discuss the importance of the natural world around us. Our children are pros at finding mini beasts and know to check under logs for a whole world of creatures!

We have a new fire truck which has proven very popular! Our improvements to the garden are well underway and it's looking great. Of course we still spread our play to the field and the little woods and are all suckers for a tree to climb!

This week we will be looking at more animals and ways we can look after our planet in honour of Sir David Attenborough's birthday.

The staff are really enjoying sharing group games with the children such as 'duck, duck, goose' and 'What's the time Mr Wolf?'.

Ready to have more fun tomorrow!

Our week in photos ❤️

Busy busy busy! We've had a few trips to Fairhaven Gardens which as always we absolutely love! We've also been watching wildlife from our preschool garden as well as collecting flowers, leaves and herbs to make potions and pies.

Add in plenty of painting, pretending and play, and you've got the perfect week!

Feeling so lucky that we have such a great team of staff and children that we get to have this much fun every week!

Ready to go again tomorrow! ☺️🌈🐤🦆🌱🌳🌲☀️🦋🐞

A big favourite moment for all of us last week was seeing Daisy Duck and her beautiful ducklings at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden. We love our time at Fairhaven Gardens and we were lucky enough to have a few visits last week! 🦆🐥

Thank you SO much to these lovely ladies and our wonderful children and families for making my birthday very special.
I was spoilt beyond belief with flowers, gifts, messages, ‘special grape juice’ 😉, cake and love!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Fairhaven Water Gardens in the sunshine.

One very lucky lady I am.

Our week in photos ❤️

We certainly do love being outside again now that the sun is shining! The children have been working together to keep the new plants watered in the garden and have been trying out some balancing on the field. Plus they love building obstacle courses for each other! And climbing trees and visiting Fairhaven Gardens where we found some amazing dens.

This week lots of the children really enjoyed playing with the dinosaur toys and making some dino art work too.

Music in the garden has been great too, a little loud, but great!😅

Some fantastic moments of kindness amongst our children this week 💓

Ready to start again tomorrow!

Ps. A few people have asked if we would like some things from the garage sales that are left over, we are always happy to take donations and anything we can't use we take to local charity shops. Our children love little character toys e.g. Peppa/Bluey/Number blocks etc. and we are always in need of doll buggys 😅 ours don't tend to last too long! Puzzles below 50 piece are always favourites.
