Last week we….
Completed a check in ✅ and welcomed some new faces!
Spoke about what an “Ally” is and how there are different ways of being a positive ally for somebody.
We also spoke about being a “Bystander” and did some situational games about what we would do in different environments ❓
We all shared examples of when we have been an ally for somebody when they needed help or support 🦸🏻♀️
Our older girls extended this activity by thinking about what protected characteristics are, and how we can use our empathy, knowledge and experiences to support those who need it most 🫶🏽✨

Today our session was all about being proud to be yourself✨
First we completed a check in ✅
Then we spoke about why it is important that we celebrate our differences and why is it amazing that we are all so different from each other 🤍
Next, we went around and each said something we like about ourself and something that makes us unique 🥰
We then demonstrated what we had learned through our mirror activity 🪞
Our older girls extended this activity, and went on to think about how they see themselves vs how they think others may see them, and why this might be. We discussed ways to try and love the things about us that we might want to change 🤍
A gorgeous session that I was very proud to be a part of 👏🏽

Today we explored feeling brave and mighty!💪🏽
We completed a check in✅
And each thought of an example of when we showed braveness - ideas included stroking a dog when they felt nervous, and asking a question in class when they didn’t understand the teacher 👏🏽
We also spoke about things we would like to not feel fearful or scared of, and how we could do this ☠️
A great session, well done everyone 🤍

Primary class - The aim of this session today was to recognise “World Mental Health Day”, with the theme being “STOP, TAKE ACTION!”
Our first activity was to help us learn to recognise emotions and practise simple self-regulation strategies. We completed a check-in activity and explored the “Stop → Take Action” approach through different scenarios such as feeling nervous, embarrassed, frustrated, or worried.
We discussed calming strategies including breathing, asking for help, and using personal coping tools. Everyone was able to identify helpful ways to manage emotions and respond positively to challenges 💪🏽🤍

This week our primary class started the session with a check in ✅
Discussed our least favourite emotions 😡
And made an emotion monster with ideas of how to help when we feel like this- a popular answer seemed to be cuddles off Mums 🤗
Our older girls had a getting to know you and team building session to welcome new members and have some fun as lots are having exams/tests in school at the moment 🤍

Last weeks session was all about emotions! ☺️☹️😳🤯😡
We practiced different facial expressions and played a game where we had to guess what each other was feeling and how we knew? 🤪
We then picked 5 emotions and created a scale that we can use at home 👏🏽
Our older girls extended this activity by analysing the different emotions they feel, and why and when they feel these the most. It was great to see empathy and understanding in the group 🤍

I am a little behind on posting- this session was a couple of weeks ago, where we focused on what we can and can’t control (circles of control), and our older girlies made a “pocket plan” for when things get tricky and we may not feel as in control as we’d like to.
Great job everyone! 🤍✨

Last night we joined sessions again due to the Easter holidays 🐰
We started with a check in- this is so important as it helps with not only speaking in front of others, but also listening skills and developing empathy and interest in others ✨
Then we created a THINK booklet to help us remember a useful method if we are ever thinking of being unkind to ourselves or others. It helps us to pause and consider;
Is it True?
Is it Helpful?
Is it Inspiring?
Is it Necessary?
Is it Kind?
We thought of some great examples of times we all could have used this method in the past, and how we can use it in the future! Well done girlies 🤍

I think this may be my all time favourite review🥲🥲🥲🥲
