ACTIVITIES IN THE SPOTLIGHT!
I thought I'd share a quick explanation of the activities I have designed, so you know how amazing the subscription box is!

PICTURE 1: Butterfly 3-Part Cards
There are four designs covering each stage of butterfly metamorphosis. They are designed to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to each stage.

PICTURE 2: Frog 3-Part Cards
Similar to the butterfly 3-part cards, except there are six designs covering each stage of frog metamorphosis.

PICTURE 3: Plant 3-Part Cards
Six designs covering each stage of a sunflower life cycle. Again designed to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to each stage.

PICTURE 4: Butterfly Life Cycle Sequence Cards
There are two cards, one A4 reference card showing the butterfly life cycle in the correct order and an A3 card for your little one to complete the life cycle using the 3-part cards and learn the sequence of butterfly metamorphosis.

PICTURE 5: Frog Life Cycle Sequence Cards
Similar to the butterfly life cycle sequence cards, except these focus on frog metamorphosis

PICTURE 6: Plant Life Cycle Sequence Cards
Again designed to learn the sequence of the life cycle using the 3-part cards

PICTURE 7: Sunflower Seeds and Compost
Your little one can grow their very own sunflower and see the life cycle of a plant in reality!

PICTURE 8: Butterfly Paper Craft
The activity is designed to develop and refine fine motor skills (physical development) and concentration. (The completed butterfly is for illustration only and not included)

PICTURE 9: Scavenger Hunt Bag
This activity is designed to develop independent observation and exploration skills while having fun.
Magnifying Glass
Your little one can use the magnifying glass to look closely at details in nature to further their learning.

Phew! That's a lot of learning!

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

What a woman! She has inspired me in my practice, my own education, in parenting and in business. She was a pioneer in education and an inspiration to the world! If I could go back in time to meet her I would! Such an amazing and courageous woman.

ACTIVITIES IN THE SPOTLIGHT!
This month's box is SCIENCE 🧬🧲

Picture 1 - Animate and Inanimate Cards
This is the activity I was introduced to when I did my Montessori training. The concept behind it is to introduce animate and inanimate to give a concrete understanding of the classification of animate and inanimate items.

Picture 2 - Parts of a Flower 3-Part Cards
The idea behind this activity is to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to flower anatomy.

Picture 3 - Parts of a Tree 3-Part Cards
The aim of this activity is to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to the parts of a tree.

Picture 4 - Parts of a Flower Reference Sheet
This can be used alongside the 3-part cards or on its own to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to flower anatomy. It also helps to distinguish the different parts of a flower.

Picture 5 - Parts of a Tree Reference Sheet
This can be used alongside the 3-part cards or on its own to teach vocabulary and introduce text linked to the parts of a tree. It also helps to distinguish the different parts of a tree.

Picture 6 - Magnet
Because Montessori advocated the need to learn from first hand experiences, this is perfect to introduce the concept of magnetism because it is a real magnet!

Picture 7 - Magnetic & Non-magnetic Objects with Heading Cards
Use the magnet in the box, explore with the objects which may or may not be attracted by the magnet and categorise them under the headings.

Picture 8 - Floating & Sinking Objects with Heading Cards
The purpose of this activity is to introduce the concept of floating and sinking. Children can begin to relate the characteristic of floating and sinking to weight and density and further develop categorising objects.

Picture 9 - Cotton Reel, Elastic Bands and Sticks (to make an elastic powered car)
This is a fun activity and a great introduction to kinetic energy and force. The activity also encourages refinement of fine motor skills.

Picture 10 - Propeller & Stick (to make a hand propelled helicopter)
This is another fun Introduction to kinetic energy and force, but with just the use of the hands. In turn this helps to refine fine and gross motor skills.

If anyone can spare a few minutes we'd love some reviews on our reviews tab. We can say all day about how amazing our boxes are, but it's you, the subscribers, that people truly believe. (We also like knowing what people really think of our boxes, it helps us improve!)

One of the activities included in this month's box! It's unbelievably simple, but lots of fun; a kaleidoscope! You will need a toilet roll middle and some sticky tape. Decorating the tube is optional. The mirrored card to turn the toilet roll into a kaleidoscope is cut to size and included in the box.

🌈 This activity will help your little one further develop their visual perception of how reflections create symmetry.

ACTIVITY IN ACTION!

I took my four children out on the colour hunt (included in this month's box). All the children got involved, even the eldest who is 17 (the youngest who is 8 months just wanted to eat everything!) It was a great activity we all thoroughly enjoyed!

(The second picture shows the branch we thought was a huge snake in the tree!)
