Some sunday sketching...🐝

The Linaria is making a first appearance... 🌱🌼😃

So... while I haven't been making the daily art pieces I have been creating something, which involved a daily creative 'process' (i.e.: watering plants!).

You might remember these Marigolds as the seedlings that I planted at the start of the pandemic. I also have Asters, Lavender, Coriander (if you dont put coriander in your Asian dishes then you haven't lived!), Mint (for tea!), Swan Valley Daisy mix and Linaria...

I'm also working on other creative pursuits, in my own nerdy way, that relate to my passion for musculoskeletal and neuromuscular function... I'm not sure that they really belong here though. 😅

Daily Art Project: Day ?? Ibiza Sunset... I think...

Started watching a YouTube video of Pete Tong at the O2 performing the Ibiza Classics Live with a live orchestra (2018)... next thing you know there are felt tips in my right hand, a glass of red wine in my left hand and this is the result....

I mean, I'm not saying that the wine has helped in this instance. But I have drawn something... which is something!

Daily Art Project: Day 13 - Banana Leaves

When I was living in Taiwan I fell in love with the sub-tropical and tropical trees and plants. One of my favourites was the banana leaf.

Again, my inspiration came from NPR Tiny Desk Concerts... this time I started with some gorgeous ukulele from Hawaiian Taimane: https://youtu.be/tXUCJKto68Q

Daily Art Project: Day 12 - Marigold Shoots🌱

So, I may have fallen off the wagon with drawing... hence no new posts here for the last 2l3 days. However, I spent the weekend writing blog posts for my clinic blog... so I'm trying not to be too hard on myself! It was a creative endeavour!

I planted seeds on Match 31st... including Marigolds and Aster and they promptly sprouted within 7 days. I'm not sure what's happened to the lavender seeds... but I certainly have been inspired by the vivid greens of these sprouting... so cuuuute! 😍

❤Daily Art Project - Day 7: Zentangle-ish Art

Thanks to Judy Smith for bringing 'Zentangling' to my attention... she inspired me to attempt filling in squares in a grid.... but I am yet to fully understand the fundamentals of this art form. It is essentially drawing unplanned lines, curves and shapes within the squares. It provide the artist with a relaxing and unassuming creative environment! It should be black and white, but I couldn't resist felt tip colours.

My theme for this tiny piece of art is jungle inspired because I had YouTube on, and the song playing was Casio by Jungle:

You can see here my patterns are based on ferns, palms, rubber plant leaves and snakeskin.

❤Daily Art Project - Day 6: Shooting Star!

I almost didn't get time to create today... I was struggling for time and inspiration earlier.

I've only just sat down to doodle and colour... I'm glad I did for this colourful (if a bit rough and ready) shooting star!

I will have completed a whole week of my daily art project tomorrow! 😁

❤Daily Art Project - Day 5: Squirrel Sketch

Each day Phill and I walk through the park as we utilise our daily 30 minute allowance for time outside. We've made a couple of friends on our way... I can't believe how bold some of these squirrels are!

We've also noticed that there is a lot more bird song in the town centre... one of the silver linings to social distancing.

I'm not sure what I will be bringing here tomorrow...
