A spot of bug hunting this morning.. 🐛 🦋 🐝

Today was about plant maintenance, and assessing for any concerns. Identification using a Smart App, certain trees, and plants, and understanding their individual requirements. We discussed how to know when to harvest certain produce and typical infections and diseases to monitor for.

We also constructed a drip irrigation system to ensure the seedlings have a constant water supply during this hot weather.

Today we made this area using tools and tried a few different herbs. Lemon thyme and 'the curry one' was their favourite. Also followed a 🦋 and visited the calves 🐄 to discuss the differences between their life cycles.

Great intro session today - all about seeds!! 🌻 🪴 🌿 planning, researching, purchasing and planting 😊

Well, we have things growing! Yay!!

After weeks of pulling up stuff, the w**d control matting is down for the paths yay!! And I'm starting to tidy up the front thanks to a generous donation of slabs. 😊

A lovely morning on the plot... everything is coming alive and singing. First bed is getting there ready for some compost and plants. 🪴 🌿 🪴 🌿 and I constructed a post for the runners! 🫘
