Creative Exploration was theme behind our latest project at the Best Start Family Hubs in Kettering
As part of the design process and consultations we visited the Play Time Explorers for 0-11yrs at to find out more about what goes on there… And WOW the feedback we received from this engagement was absolutely heartfelt as the parents and guardians we spoke to all expressed how important the services have been to them and their families, I filled up a few pages in such a short time with some expressing how it’s helped with isolation for example… some have moved countries and so many other examples of how the centre has been a supportive to them!😢👏❤️Truly heartfelt!!!
The engagement inspired the development of the mural and our aim was to follow the journey of growth and make it visual, from early years onwards to toddler experiences all the way to teenagers, as the centre supports the development of all the ages hopefully connects to the outdoors mural we developed recently as well!
The Best Start Family Hubs team in Kettering supports families with children 0-19 or up to 25 years old with special needs and deliver a range of joined-up services focusing particularly on parenting, infant feeding, early language and perinatal mental health. Addressing the needs and of families enabling them to build positive relationships with their children and their community.
Thank you to the whole entire staff team for accommodating myself, opening at odd hours to complete the mural and other weird requests… lol we appreciate you for having us on board to share the creativity!

Lemonpop Workshops is a creative learning and wellbeing organisation that uses creativity as a catalyst for personal growth, community engagement, and positive social change. Our Workshops can be implemented as one offs but more effective as part of a programme or regular sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Our workshops achieve strong focus on key priorities and personal responsibilities or interest areas.

Marvin from Lemonpop Workshops came to visit this morning and signed our scribble wall. Watch this space for some exciting new spray paint classes!!
/ We were invited to the National Saturday Club Graduation Ceremony and also attended a private viewing of the National Saturday Club Annual Summer Show at the Embankment Galleries, Somerset House
We appreciate being invited by to attend and celebrate the achievements of the young people. We delivered a masterclass on customisation with the students and went through a mini journey with them of self discovery and self expression to develop the piece that was displayed in the exhibition… I am biased that our piece was the best piece on display lol 😜however it was so good to see other creations, interesting too as there was so much to see and well done to all the students involved in this years collection… thank you for having us on board to share the creativity!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and even took a side trip to see some of my favourite museums while I was in central London… stay creative out there… your future depends on it!
