What an absolute whirlwind of a day for Puffins class yesterday! 🐧✨

The children visited OLA and threw themselves into learning some incredible, hands-on life skills. Here’s a peek at what they got up to:

🧑‍🍳 Cooking: Whipping up some delicious treats.

🌱 Planting: Getting their hands dirty and learning about nature.

⛑️ First Aid Training: Learning vital, kid-friendly skills to help others in an emergency.

🔥 Fire Making: Discovering the basics of safe, responsible fire building.

We are so proud of how focused, enthusiastic, and brave the Puffins were throughout all the activities. A huge thank you to the team at OLA for hosting such an unforgettable day!

🥚🔥 An Action-Packed Day for Kingfishers Class! 🔥🥚

Today, Kingfishers class visited OLA for an incredible outdoor adventure!

First up was the Ultimate Egg Drop Challenge. The mission? Protect a egg using only natural materials found around them to build a sturdy nest. The stakes were high, but thanks to some brilliant engineering, every single egg survived the big drop safe and sound! 🥳

Next, we turned up the heat with some vital bushcraft skills. The children learned all about fire safety and got hands-on experience using traditional flint and stone, as well as modern ferro rods, to spark their own fires.

We are incredibly proud of how Kingfishers showed immense determination and fantastic teamwork, cheering each other on every step of the way. Way to go, team! 👏🌲

🚨🚔 Look Who Visited Us Today! 🚔🚨

We had a very exciting visitor at school today! Our local PCSO, PCSO Church, dropped by to say hello—and she didn’t come alone! She brought her police van along for the children to explore. 🚨

The children had an absolute blast getting a taste of a day in the life of the police. The highlights were definitely getting to sit in the cage at the back and taking turns pressing the buttons to set off the flashing lights and loud sirens! 🔔✨

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to meet a local community helper and learn about the amazing work the police do to keep us safe.

A massive thank you to PCSO Church for your time and for creating such wonderful, smiles-all-round memories for our students! 💙👮‍♀️

🌱 A Beautiful New Space for Our Students! Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Nicole Haviland (Community Engagement Officer at Northampton Town Council) and Councillor Fartun Ismail to officially open our brand-new sensory garden! ✂️🎀

A massive thank you to Northampton Town Council, who kindly provided a grant to help us transform this urban space into a lovely, calming sensory garden for our students to enjoy. We are so grateful for your support in making this project a reality!
