π Loose Parts & Emotions π
The children explored emotions by creating self-portraits using natural resources such as leaves, petals, and wooden rings. They carefully selected and arranged the materials to represent their facial features and express how they were feeling.
Through discussions about different emotions, the children developed their emotional awareness and vocabulary while using their creativity and imagination. The activity also supported fine motor skills as they manipulated and positioned the loose parts to create their unique portraits.
This engaging experience encouraged self-expression, confidence, and meaningful conversations about feelings.

π Colour mixing & large scale mark making π
The Preschool room have explored mark-making using a variety of tools and materials to create different lines, shapes, patterns, and textures. They enjoyed expressing their creativity while developing their fine motor skills.
The children also explored the colour wheel, identifying different colours and learning about primary and secondary colours. Through hands-on paint mixing, they discovered how combining colours creates new ones, such as red and yellow making orange, and blue and yellow making green.
This fun activity encouraged creativity, curiosity, and early understanding of colour while supporting communication and problem-solving skills.
