There’s still time to join my 5K Foundations group. We are getting settled in before we kick off on 1st January. There is still time to join.

In summary… we are going to be following the couch to 5k program.

We will have the amazing cheer squad of all the members in there.

You can do it at your own pace, you don’t even need to run, it can be scaled up or down.

It’s a rolling monthly payment so there is no pressure to finish it within the first 9 weeks. you can also cancel at any time

This is more than just a beginners running group, it’s about community, showing up for yourself, dedicating time to yourself and implementing new healthier habits.

Couldn’t feel prouder of Efana Enebong 💕

She’s one more run to go and she’ll have completed her first couch to 5k

Just a few weeks back we were having a conversation and it came about that if she started the process like immediately she will be able to add it to her achievements list for 2023… not add it to the list for things to start on Jan 24.

We’ve checked in regularly, seen here through the toughest bits and she’s out the other side and on her way to victory 🏆

Her journey doesn’t stop here… she’s going to continue now she’s experienced the benefits both physically and mentally.

You learn a lot about yourself when you show up for yourself.

Here’s a reminder of the 5k Foundations QnA I’ll be holding tomorrow evening.

I Don’t know if theres something in the water but more people have asked me recently about help with couch to 5k in the last month than the last year. It’s one of my favourite things to do with groups so we’re going again a running a new group.

Doing any program like this is more than just starting to run it’s about the intension setting and the commitment to yourself to show up, making the time, creating the new habits… the list is looong but it’s true. The running is just a small element.
For me it’s ultimately about learning about yourself and just simply doing a bit better in some elements of life.

One of the things I talk about a lot is the importance of a morning routine that works for you. This will be different for us all but it is the having of a routine that you will find clarity.

Getting back to basics…

We live in such a busy world surrounded by tech and complex external factors that we often forget about the basics and our balance begins to tip without us even realising it.

For me the basics are all about getting enough sleep - making sure my mind and body is rested and if I feel I need more rest in a shorter amount of time I practise yoga nidra.
If you’ve never tried it I fully recommend it.

Keeping hydrated - we are made up of a lot of water, our body needs it, our brain needs it. It’s kind of vital for our survival but I am often blown away at how low down peoples priority list it is. Grab a bottle, get it on your desk, in your bag; wherever you are make sure it’s on hand.

Making my bed - I am house proud but even from a young age making my bed was a really important habit that not only made me feel good because it was good but it doesn’t matter where you are, whatever the situation you have a consistent habit that is more powerful than people give it credit.
Mastering one positive basic habit first thing of the day teaches you a lot. I cannot and will not even try to explain it better than Navy Seal, William McRaven, type into YouTube “Navy Seal make your bed and listen to his amazing speech. Gives me goosebumps every time!

Be grateful everyday. There will always be something to be grateful for each and every day and some days you will feel more grateful than others and on the days when you feel like it’s all gone down the pan… dig deep, there will be something and it will make you and it warm your heart, you’ve just gotta let it.

I talk a lot about getting back to basics and it often gets overlooked. Prove to yourself you can nail the basics and you’ll build your foundations and self belief that you are capable, you can achieve things… how, because you’ve done it before which means you can do it again.

You are capable, you are worthy and you are deserving… believe!

Do you know how journaling can help you - not just in business but in everyday life..

Over the weekend I held one of my “How to get the most out of your Journal Workshop” - I absolutely love delivering these sessions. They are small in numbers, there’s no hiding (as one client put it) and I go all out to help them realise where the journal can help them in their lives.

No matter what it is you are working on, you can use it to…
reduce overwhelm… whatever your goal is you will need to break it down into milestones and smaller digestible chunks, it will help you to do that - one step at a time.
Never lose sight of that goal but just focus on each small step to get there.

Sometimes we are surrounded by people that don't quite get what we’re working towards and that is ok, we’re all on our own journey but sometimes we need an outlet and somewhere to download our thoughts. You’re not going mad if you do this on paper. Writing down can be almost as powerful as saying things out loud and it will give opportunity to rationalise your thoughts if you feel they’re all over the place

Don’t just make lists for lists sake, be intentional with what you realistically want to get done in a day. Writing that all down in a journal is a great way of holding yourself accountable because when you get to the end of a day and reflect you will see in plain black & white (or whatever coloured pen you decided to use) whether you did what you said you would. You will know if you’ve nailed it, if you have reward yourself, 10/10 or if you didn’t you will know why. Is it something you need to improve on tomorrow and focus more or what it something out of your control that you need to just make peace with and pick the task up again.

I love my journal (yes I would say that) but I also love it’s versatility and how it can help you if you let it and trust the process.
These are just a couple of ways in which it benefits.

Make the most of your journal

Start now…

There’s never a right or wrong time to start something new or decide that you need a new day 1.
Tomorrow never comes; whether it’s the diet, the workout, the business plan, the couch to 5k (insert your thing), we can put off tomorrow forever - sometimes we just need to give ourselves a new ‘day one’.
Having a journal is so personal to you and can be adopted to whatever your goal is and what you want to achieve.
The em-powered journal (see bio for link) will walk you through the steps of your new journey, starting with what you want to achieve over the first 13 weeks, and why it matters to you.
We often don’t start things because we’re a bit disconnected - connect with the reason why you’ve decided to start and what it means to you.
Writing down your goals is almost as powerful as saying them out loud, putting your intentions out there and down on paper is the first step in the process of making them real.
You need to put the goal out there, if you don’t know what the specific goal is, you won't know when you get there.

Over the next few days I want to share a couple of things with you

One thing I’ve learned about myself along my journey in life and business is I like collaborating and being in a team of awesomeness.
Don’t get me wrong I love my own company and doing my own thing but the power that can be created by joining forces is something that get me really excited.
