It's been way too hot in the classroom to be our usual energetic selves, so we created pictures only using music notes and symbols. I think they turned out really well, some really creative ideas, especially with bass clefs 🎶 😍

Last day of exams for this term. I haven't got any accompaniments to practice. I literally don't know what to do, I just walked around my music room a bit lost 🤣

Thanks to one of my adult students for making me this massive board (velvet covered too!) It's absolutely perfect for verrrry long pieces 🤩

International Women's Day

We had a super rehearsal yesterday evening. We began with Appollo 13 featuring our excellent 1st trumpet player (hitting beautifully clear high notes 2 minutes into the rehearsal!).
Our hard work with the Brahms Academic Festival Overture is paying off as we whizzed right through it - no stopping for us last night!
And we finished off our evening with Schindlers List featuring one of our wonderful violinists - truly moving.

I think this must be right. I ❤ bagpipes, especially 1000 of them all at once at the Edinburgh tattoo- amazing!!
