Introducing Winston!

Meet our newest therapy dog Winston and his handler, tutor Debbie.

Winston had his first 1-1 canine assisted education session today and has already won the heart of his new learner.

We are super excited to see just how Winston can support our client.

Check out our newest recruit Winston in his first school visit to Spratton CE Primary School

We'll be introducing Winston properly over the next week but it certainly looks like he made a positive impression.

Where possible we try to end all canine assisted education sessions with a little bit of reading... And we were delighted when one of our learners chose Sherlock Holmes and has started embracing the vocabulary with words like deduce and deception creeping into their own stories.

There were some new arrivals into the therapy dogs household this weekend.... And they seem to have claimed the dogs favourite sleeping spots!

It might have been a quiet week for Hero, but therapy dogs Waffle and Roma have still been out and about working with our learners.

Waffle and her learner are making great progress in building confidence and control.

After three trips to the vets the offending grass seed is out of Heros paw!

Poor Hero was so upset at being back at the vets they let us bring her home as soon as she came round - so slept off the effects of the anaesthetic on the sofa!

Thanks to all our lovely clients for understanding Hero's absence. - she will be back to work next week.

After a delayed start due to a pesky grass seed Hugo has had his first day as a therapy dog 💜

Hugo visited Brockfield House care home and loved meeting all the residents, but his first day at work proved exhausting and he has slept for the rest of the afternoon.

Welcome to the team Hugo.
