In the case of inappropriate use of our page, any comments may be ‘hidden’ or ‘deleted’ by the school, if deemed appropriate to do so. The School and Governing Body may contact the parent asking them to remove such comments and seek redress through the appropriate channels such as the Complaints Policy. The School and Governing Body understands that “There are circumstances in which police involvement is appropriate. These include where postings have a racist element or where violence is threatened or encouraged.” Furthermore, “Laws of defamation and privacy still apply to the web and it is unlawful for statements to be written…which: - Expose (an individual) to hatred, ridicule or contempt; - Cause (an individual) to be shunned or avoided; - Lower (an individual’s) standing in the estimation of right-thinking members of society; or - Disparage (an individual in their) business, trade, office or profession.” (National Association of Head teachers).

This year's Summer Reading Challenge, Read to the Beat, has already begun. Pop in to the library to sign up and get started at Hunsbury Library or any local library! 🎉

Children ages 4-11 can visit the library to sign up and take part. They'll receive a starter pack when they do, stickers when they've read books, and a certificate and medal when they've read six books total. They'll also earn a place on our finisher's wall in the children's area, plus there's a special reward for children who complete 12 book-related prompts 👀🤫 Under 4s can also take part in the Mini Challenge to earn rewards of their own!
