And here we are at the end of the summer term and wow what a term we have had.
We have said welcome to our new Little Buddie 💗who has settled so incredibly well.
A huge welcome to the world to a current Little Buddies baby brother 💙who will join us when he is a little bigger.
We have had the fabulous news that a current Little Buddie will be a big sister to her baby brother 💙 at Christmas time and we have said a big see you soon to our longest standing Little Buddie!
My feet haven’t touched the floor!!

It’s now almost time for our summer leave which I hope all my wonderful families enjoy 😊 but before that let’s see the last few weeks photos….

💙 2016-2026 💙

My first official Little Buddie was Leo along with his sister who is now 18 and they joined my Nanny families boys to start my little business off and here we are 10 years later and it’s time for that dreaded goodbye.

Words can’t describe how hard this is, it actually breaks my heart but yet makes me feel so proud.
It breaks my heart to not have him in my life daily and to be there for him whenever he needs me but then I am so proud to have had a huge part in his upbringing and being his buddie whenever he has needed me. Leo started on 50 hours a week and very quickly became a huge part of our lives, we have had the best adventures and been through so many milestones together and made the best memories to last a lifetime. And for that I am extremely grateful ☺️ I will hold all our memories close to my heart forever.

My little Leo 🫶🏻 l love you 😘

Happy childminder appreciation week 💞

I feel so appreciated this week as always and have been lucky enough to have some beautiful voice notes sent to me, a ice cold drink delivered to me at the park when child wasn’t even coming in, a beautiful bunch of sunflowers which was a huge surprise and then a stunning orchid given to me by a minder friend today ☺️

I feel like a very lucky childminder and thank you all so much. I appreciate you just as much as you do me 🥰

Here’s to all my childminder friends and colleagues you are ALL amazing people that deserve appreciation always. We do amazing jobs and are amazing humans. Love to you all 😘

Safe Sleep Awareness – Every Check Matters

Following recent discussions across our mastermind groups,

we've all been reflecting on how we can continue to strengthen our safer sleep practice.

SIDS can happen to a baby who is awake, I didn’t know this, did you?

Did you know that a baby's transition from sleep to being awake is just as important as when they are asleep?

As owners, managers and practitioners, we should never simply assume a baby has woken safely. Every sleep check should include looking, listening and ensuring a baby is alert, breathing normally and responding as expected.

Small checks really can make a big difference.

In my settings we will be giving cuddles so we can listen and feel if the baby has woken safely and spending time with them.

Let's continue to:
👶 Follow safer sleep guidance every time.
💙 Stay vigilant during sleep and when babies wake.
👀 Carry out meaningful sleep checks – not just a glance into the cot.
📚 Keep our safer sleep knowledge and training up to date.
🤝 Support each other by sharing good practice.

The safety of every child in our care is our shared responsibility.

By raising awareness and continually reflecting on our practice, we can help provide the safest possible environment for babies.

Look. Listen. Check. Every time. 💙
