ble garden where children are given the opportunity to extend their learning and our own playing field for forest school and sports activities. Education
Each day is carefully planned to ensure that there are a variety of activities that are exciting, interesting, informative and fun! The whole nursery follows the Government guidelines on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Activities are planned to be appropriate for each child's abilities and learning needs, whilst remaining flexible enough to accommodate spontaneous interest and events. Socialisation is an important aspect of a child's educational development. Through being involved with group activities there are many skills a child will develop and these will encourage self-confidence, sharing, turn taking and conversational development, ensuring your child is introduced to our rich, culturally diverse society. It is a big decision to decide whom to entrust your child for daily care. We would welcome the opportunity to meet you and discuss any aspect of the service we offer. It is vitally important for you to feel confident in making the right choice for your child. If you do decide to join us, we offer trial sessions/visits, in order that you and your child feel happy and safe with us. Opening hours
The Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am through to 6.00pm. We are open 49 weeks of the year, closing for all Bank Holidays, May half term, one week including the August bank holiday and one week during the Christmas/New Year period (with half day on Christmas Eve).

🔨🌿 Our Annual Maintenance Fortnight – What a Team! 🌿🔨

Whilst our children have been enjoying their summer break, behind the scenes our teams have been working incredibly hard to ensure our nurseries are looking their very best for the new term.

We place enormous value on providing beautiful, clean, safe and inspiring environments for our children and families. Whilst maintenance and improvements happen throughout the year, every summer we have a rather full-on maintenance fortnight when we tackle all those bigger jobs that simply can’t be carried out whilst the children are in!

This year has involved everything from complete garden resurfacing at Little Lambs, to what feels like miles of fence painting at Normanton (lots and lots of it! 😅), gutter, soffit and fascia cleaning and maintenance, garden improvements, equipment updates (and new purchases!).

We’ve filled two entire skips to the brim, made countless wheelbarrow journeys and spent two weeks lifting, clearing, painting, repairing, cleaning, landscaping and generally giving every corner of our settings some much-needed TLC!

A huge thank you and special mention must go to our very own incredible Site Managers, Steve, Mike and Jonnie, who have worked tirelessly and coordinated so much of the work, ably assisted by Michael and Nathaniel.

We’d also like to thank Reece and the team at , and Fernando from for their hard work and expertise.

It really does take a small army to keep our settings looking as lovely as they do!

We are incredibly proud of the environments we provide for our children and families, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to see the results of another very busy ‘shut down’ week!

🍰👩‍🍳 A Little Baking Fun for the Holidays! 👨‍🍳🍪

Looking for a simple activity to enjoy together while we’re off from nursery? Why not get the children involved in some baking fun! 🥰

🍌 Easy Banana Muffins 🍌

You’ll need:
• 2 ripe bananas
• 100g sugar
• 1 egg
• 75g melted butter
• 150g self-raising flour
• A splash of milk

Method:
1️⃣ Mash the bananas in a bowl.
2️⃣ Add the egg, melted butter and sugar, and mix together.
3️⃣ Stir in the flour and add a little milk if needed to make a soft mixture.
4️⃣ Spoon into muffin cases.
5️⃣ Bake at 180°C for around 15–20 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

👧🧑 Little helpers can mash the bananas, measure ingredients, stir the mixture and spoon it into the cases (with an adult helping where needed).

Most importantly, have fun, make memories and enjoy your delicious homemade treats together! 💕🍌

🍓 Smoothie time = family time! 🍌

Get the children involved in making a delicious fruit smoothie together. It’s a simple way to spend time in the kitchen, explore different fruits and create something tasty to enjoy.

You’ll need:
🍌 1 small ripe banana
🫐 About 140g blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or strawberries — or a mix!
🍎 Apple juice or mineral water, as needed
🍯 A little runny honey, to serve
🍓 Extra fruit, to top

Let’s make it!
Slice the banana and add it to a blender with your chosen berries. Blend until smooth. With the blender running, gradually add juice or water until you reach the consistency you like.

Pour into glasses, add a few extra berries or pieces of fruit on top and enjoy together! 💕🥤

👩‍🍳 Little helpers can choose the fruits, measure ingredients and add the toppings — with an adult handling the blender.

Today we were delighted to welcome Bonkers the Clown to preschool! 🤡

The children had so much fun learning new circus skills, including juggling, flower sticks, plate spinning and bubble tricks. 🫧🤹‍♀️🍽️

They loved becoming part of the circus, trying out new skills and, of course, sharing lots of fun, laughter and smiles with their friends. ❤️

A huge thank you to Bonkers for such a fun-filled and memorable visit! 🎪🌟
