Spring is here and growth has started. Even some blue skies!!

Bit of excitement here at UGC HQ! The Hoheria sexstylosa is in flower! New Zealand native and not really expected to flower this far north. A fond memory of my time at Birr castle , where my tree was bought.
Shame about the name! Not exactly easy after a coffee never mind a sherry!!!

Not so sunny these days, but perhaps summer has a few last cheerful days to offer us. Still time to drop those late flowers into the border. Come and see what is available tomorrow evening at Comber Farmer’s market 4.00 - 8.00 pm.

Hello sunshine it’s August!! How did that happen!!! Perennial sunflower in the prairie bed is looking great and the hydrangeas are starting to look their beautiful best.

Garden starting to come to life, despite the continuing frosts. Sun and blue sky definitely stirs enthusiasm for all things gardening - even cutting the grass!!!

Just a reminder that Comber Farmers’s market is this Thursday 9.00 - 1.30. Sadly UGC will not be there because of COVID restrictions.
Not sure when we’ll be allowed back, but I intend to offer an order and delivery service, as last year. Just contact me by email ([email protected]), and I will send an availability list. First one released middle of this month.
