Term One canteen menus 🍽️

A reminder to all pupils, parents and guardians:
For those who do not receive Free School Meals, the canteen operates on a cash‑only basis. Please ensure pupils are prepared for this before arriving at school. 💰

Both buses and the canteen will run as normal from tomorrow onwards! 🚌

We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back to Edmund Rice College tomorrow as we begin a new school year together.

Please remember that all pupils should be in their form class for 8:50am!

As this is the first day back, traffic will be extremely busy in and around Glengormley, particularly on the Hightown Road, so we strongly encourage families to allow extra time for their journey.

The school will be open from 8am and our Breakfast Club will be available to all pupils.

Let’s start the new school year on a positive note, set high standards and remain consistent throughout the year ahead.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning!

We are delighted to welcome back so many of our record breaking Year 12 pupils into Sixth Form at Edmund Rice College, where they will continue to strive, achieve and set new standards of excellence.

Today’s induction marks the beginning of another exciting chapter for this outstanding group of young people.

Their hard work, commitment and ambition have already delivered exceptional results and we look forward to supporting them as they build on that success throughout Year 13.

Massive congratulations to Year 10 pupil Fiadh Rogers, who has been officially selected by Gymnastics Ireland for the Trampoline Team competing at the 32nd FIG Trampoline World Age Group Competitions. ☘️

This prestigious international event will take place at the Nanjing Yangzi River International Conference Center, China, from 12th–15th November 2026, bringing together the very best young athletes from across the world.

Fiadh’s selection is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her dedication, talent and commitment to her sport.

Everyone at Edmund Rice College is incredibly proud of her as she prepares to represent her country on the global stage.

Today we were delighted to receive a fantastic donation from Laura Patton, a proud member of our ‘Friends of ERC parent support group’ and an employee of Kigen UK.

Laura has gifted 14 monitors to the school, providing valuable resources that will directly support pupils in their learning.

Her son Josh joined her in delivering the monitors and helped present them to our Principal, Mr Berne, which made the moment even more special.

We extend our sincere thanks to Laura for her kindness and continued support of ERC.

A huge well done to all of our new Year 8 pupils who started their journey at Edmund Rice College today!

The energy around the school was amazing and the positivity was through the roof from the moment the doors opened.

It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces, new friendships already forming and pupils embracing this exciting new chapter.

We are incredibly proud of how well everyone settled in on their first day. Here's to a fantastic year ahead!

Well done Year 8! We can't wait to see what you achieve.

A special thank you also to Fr Conor McGrath who was able to accommodate us at short notice and celebrate our new Year 8 welcome mass, a lovely and fitting way to end our first day!

There has been a change to the schedule for tomorrow’s Year 8 Induction Day.

The Welcome Mass for all our new Year 8 pupils will now take place at 11:15am. (Parents and guardians do not need to attend the Mass.)

All pupils, along with their parents and guardians, should still arrive at school at 9:00am for a short briefing with the Head of year 8.

Parents and guardians will be free to leave at 9:30am, after which pupils will be organised into their form classes and will begin their induction into Edmund Rice College.

We look forward to welcoming all our new pupils at 9:00am tomorrow morning!
