Over the past week our amazing children in Holiday Club have been helping the local community at the local food bank and today have visited the Salvation Army to learn all about how they help the community and how we can too!

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for information following the theft of a tent from the grounds of Maldwyn Nursery, Park Lane, Newtown. The theft is believed to have occurred between 5:45pm on Friday The 31st of July and 7:00am on Monday The 3rd of August.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the suspects, witnessed any suspicious activity, or captured footage that could assist the investigation to come forward.

The suspects are believed to have carried the stolen tent on foot from the nursery, travelling through Trehafren, past the basketball courts in Vaynor, before entering one of the residential cul-de-sacs in the Vaynor area.

Members of the public travelling on, or living along, this route are urged to review any CCTV, Ring doorbell, dashcam or other security footage covering the relevant date and time. Even if you did not witness the incident itself, your footage may have captured the suspects or the movement of the stolen tent and could provide vital evidence.

If you have any information, however insignificant it may seem, or any footage that could assist the investigation, please contact Dyfed-Powys Police, quoting the relevant crime or incident reference number.

Every piece of information has the potential to assist officers in identifying those responsible. Your information could be the crucial piece of evidence that helps progress this investigation.

***STOLEN-Please Share***
Over the weekend, this tent was stolen from the Nursery Park. It belonged to a member of staff who kindly brought it in from home so the children could enjoy playing with it.

This Saturday, a group of our incredible staff will be taking on the challenge of the Rotary Walk Across Wales – an inspiring test of endurance, determination, and teamwork.

💪 Kim and Ffion will be tackling the full distance, setting off at the impressive time of 2am, while Tarna, Lauren, Keira, Milly, Bonnie, and Mandy will be joining the walk at various points along the route.

This is no small feat, and we are incredibly proud of every one of them for stepping up to take on such a demanding challenge.

❤️ Many of our team members are also walking to support causes that are deeply personal to them:

🎗️ Lauren & Bonnie – raising funds for pancreatic cancer
🧠 Tarna – raising money for the Alzheimer's Society
🏥 Kim – raising money for Birmingham Children's Hospital
🚜 Milly – raising money for the Farming Community Network
💙 Keira – raising money for Motor Neurone Disease

These are all wonderful causes that provide vital support to individuals, families, and communities.

Thank you to Newtown Football Club for letting us go play on the pitch this week with the Messy Monkeys! They have loved exploring the pitch and practicing our footballs skills! Who knows maybe one day one these children could be part of the World Cup? 🥰⚽️

Here it is....our grand total of fundraising is a massive £2,456.97!!!!!!

WOW!!! 🤩🤩

This is absolutely incredible and want thank every single staff member, child and all the families for all getting involved and supporting our challenge this year.

The 3 peaks challenge was amazing and an experience we will remember forever.

The children across the whole nursery went above and beyond the distances we set them, all whilst having fun and exploring our beautiful local area!

A massive shout out to the parents joining us on our challenge and those raising sponsorship money, we are so lucky to have amazing people around us!

Wow, What a day!! From start to finish, everyone has absolutely smashed it. 👏
Proud to work with such an amazing team and so lucky to have such supportive families. You are all superstars! 🌟

On our way home for a good nights sleep, ready to get back to what we do best on Monday.
