✨ What are your favourite points of reference? ✨

Here are some of the everyday examples we learnt about during our Summer School! 🌟

From a bath holding around 100 litres to an apple weighing about 200g, having familiar points of reference can make estimating measurements so much easier — especially when it comes to those tricky 11+ questions! 🧠📏⚖️

Our Superstars have been working hard and building their knowledge to help them feel confident in their exams. 💕⭐️

🌟 And that’s a wrap! 🌟

Day 3 of Summer School is complete, and our Superstars have done themselves so proud! ⭐️

Today we tackled some BIG 11+ topics, including measure, time, coordinates, angles, shape and comprehension — wow! 🤯📚

We also explored some really useful points of reference for measure, such as the height of a door frame, the weight of a 10-year-old (and a lion! 🦁), and how many litres you might find in a bath or a bucket. It’s amazing how much easier an abstract concept can become when children have something real and familiar to relate it to!

And, of course, we couldn’t finish three days of hard work without our secret surprise… the Ice Cream Parlour! 🍦✨ Our Superstars enjoyed creating their own delicious ice cream treats — a very well-deserved reward for all their effort!

We always see a big boost in scores in our next mock exam after Summer School, so we’re SO excited to see what Sunday brings! 👀📈

Three days. So much learning. Lots of hard work. Plenty of fun! 💜⭐️
