During National School Sports week at Farway CofE Primary School and Preschool we had juggler Ben visiting class 1 & class 2. The children learnt how to balance objects on different parts of their bodies, juggling skills, plate spinning & hula hooping! We had a great time 🤹‍♂️🎪

🌟 We're incredibly proud of our PE team!🌟

Over the past two days, our team has been sharing their expertise at the Active Devon PE Conference, presenting to school leaders and teachers from across the region.

Invited to showcase the work taking place across Link Academy Trust, the team highlighted our innovative approach to Physical Literacy and the incredible impact of embedding it as a golden thread throughout our schools.

They shared inspiring case studies, facilitated engaging discussions with delegates, and celebrated the power of high-quality PE to transform children's experiences. They also delivered a session exploring how to strengthen subject knowledge, build staff confidence across primary schools, and a curriculum and pedagogy workshop.

Being asked to present at the conference is a fantastic recognition of the relentless commitment, expertise and passion of our PE team. Their dedication continues to create exceptional opportunities for our pupils, ensuring more children develop the confidence, competence and love of physical activity that will benefit them for life.

A huge thank you to Active Devon and PE Scholar - Physical Education Resources for inviting us to be part of such an inspiring event.

Fabulous Frisbee! Today we hosted our first ever Mid Devon Frisbee Festival for our year 3 and 4 children. The teams were fantastic from start to finish demonstrating skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. The first ever East Devon KS2 Frisbee Festival was a blast! In the sunshine over 130 year 3,4,5 and 6 children showcased their skills and teamwork and had the best day. The children all embraced our new inclusive scoring system and all left with big smiley faces.
