As you head into your final year of primary school, we hope you feel proud of how far you have come. This is a big year, but remember that you are capable, resilient and ready for the journey ahead.

Make memories, enjoy your final year and believe in yourself. 🌟

And to those beginning their post-primary journey...

A brand new chapter is about to begin. New classrooms, new faces, new routines and lots of exciting opportunities lie ahead.

It is completely normal to feel a little nervous, but you do not have to have everything figured out on day one. Take your time, ask questions, be kind to yourself and remember that you are more ready than you think. 💛

It’s never all about the score.

As children head back to school at the end of August, the transfer tests are starting to feel much closer.

At Mourne Transfer Tuition, we believe preparation is about more than percentages. Building confidence, developing good study habits and learning from mistakes are all part of the journey.

With the tests now just a few months away, practice scores are becoming more useful. Not because they predict the final result but because they show us where a child is now and what they need to work on next.

Whether your child is scoring below 50% or above 85%, the focus should be on what happens next.

Are mistakes being reviewed?
Are weaker areas being addressed?
Is practice becoming more consistent?
Is confidence growing?

The students who make the strongest progress are those who learn from feedback and keep improving week by week.

The guide below outlines some suggested next steps based on current practice scores.

Remember, an August score is not a prediction of a November score. It is simply a starting point for the months ahead.
