Ulster were the winners of this term's house party. They had a great time at the park🛝 to celebrate and brought a treat bag home to enjoy. Well done boys and girls in our Ulster House.👏👏

🤩Well done to our Primary 5 & 7 boys for reaching 2 million words on Accelerated Reader this school year and to our Primary 5 girl on reaching 1 million words. 📖🔖

Primary 5, 6 & 7 were extremely fortunate to have a visit from local author Declan Carville. The children thoroughly enjoyed Declan's workshop.

🙏We would like to thank Mr Michael Anderson, grandparent to 3 of our pupils, for his very generous donation towards our ICT equipment. 💻⌨️

Congratulations to the Primary 7 Confirmandi who made their Confirmation on Friday night.
Here is a summary of this evening.

We are very proud of all of our Confirmandi who made their Confirmation this evening in St. Joseph’s Parish Church. It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Archbishop Eamonn Martin and assisted by our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Woods and Rev. Padraig Murphy, Pastor Emeritus. We would sincerely like to thank Mrs Shortt, who prepared the pupils so diligently and reverently for this special milestone in their lives. Thank you to Mrs Crawley, our musical conductor, Mrs Gribben, our organist and the school choir for their delightful singing and instrumental pieces. Thank you also to all our hard working staff members for their invaluable support. We wish all our Confirmandi a lovely evening celebrating with their families and friends.
We would like to wish our Primary 7 pupils all the best as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation today. 🕊️

👏 Well done boys and girls on receiving your awards this week.👏

☠️ Poyntzpass Pirates Rugby Team 🏉 travelled to Dromore Rugby Club to participate in a rugby blitz this morning.
The sun 😎 wasn't the only thing shining today as the Pirates shone bright in all of their games.
Player of the day was awarded to Lucy for her smashing tackles and dazzling running with the ball 🏈.
Player of steel was awarded to Sean for his no nonsense tackling and never give up attitude! 🔒⛓️

Joanne and Anna from Donaghys Banbridge called to school this morning to pick the winners of their Easter Croc 🐊 colouring competition and present them with their prizes. They had a very hard job and eventually settled on a KS1 winner and a KS2 winner. Well done to both pupils 👏👏

Charity Donations 💸
This week we made a donation of £100 to Friends of The Choir Studio. This money was raised from donations from our recent green day 💚
We also made a donation of £214 to Cancer Fund for Children, pictured below. The money for this donation was raised from holding a pyjama day in school 💤
Well done everyone for your continued support in helping local charities 👏👏

On the final day of Sustrans in Northern Ireland our Primary 6/7 class took to their wheels 🛞 and cycled 🚴♀️🛴 the daily mile. The weather has been on our side over the last 2 weeks and it didn't disappoint today either ☀️

Congratulations 👏 to our pupils of the week. Our pupils work hard in all areas of school life and continue to show good manners to all in the school community.
