🌿Practical Support for Our Children in a Modern World🌿
When I wrote The Harmonic Child, I knew it was important not only to share Jack’s story and our journey together, but also to create a guide section filled with practical, real-world ways we as parents and caregivers can support our children.

In today’s world, our children are constantly surrounded by influences in the external environment, WiFi, EMFs, Bluetooth, algorithms, flashing lights… all of which can affect sensitive nervous systems. In the book, I share practical steps we can take to reduce and balance these influences in our homes and daily lives.

Equally, I explore the power of sound, how rhythm, tone, and vibration can regulate the nervous system, create safety, and restore harmony when our children are overwhelmed. From simple sound practices to creating calmer environments, these tools are accessible to every parent.

This section was written from lived experience and with the hope that it will bring relief, clarity, and empowerment, giving parents concrete steps they can use right away, while also deepening their understanding of the universal patterns shaping our children’s experiences.

The Harmonic Child is more than a story; it’s also a guide to creating safer, more supportive environments for our children to thrive.

đź’™ A Moment of Stillness

You may have noticed that I've been a little quieter than usual recently.

For the past few months, much of my time and energy has been devoted to completing the final project for my psychology degree. It has been a season of deep focus, long days, reflection, learning, and growth.

I am delighted to share that it has now been submitted 🥳

For the first time in a long while, I am allowing myself a moment to pause.

To breathe.
To rest.
To reflect on the journey so far.

As many of you know, The Harmonic Child was never created from a textbook alone. It was born from lived experience, from the relationship between a mother and her child, from the questions that arise when conventional approaches do not fully meet the needs of the families they are intended to serve.

Over the years, I have come to believe that science and lived experience are not opponents. They are partners. One helps us understand what we can measure. The other helps us understand what it means to be human.

Both matter.

As I move into this next chapter, I find myself reflecting on how these worlds can continue to come together through breath, awareness, relationship, attunement, and a deeper understanding of what it means to truly connect with our children.

There are many exciting ideas quietly unfolding behind the scenes, but for now, I am simply taking a little time to listen, learn, and allow the next steps to emerge naturally.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for walking this journey with me.
And thank you for continuing to remind me that some of the most important things in life cannot be rushed.

Sometimes, they simply ask us to pause... and breathe.

✨ Coherence Begins with Breath

We often hear that coherence starts in the heart. But I’ve remembered something deeper. The heart is like a mirror. The breath is like a spiral. And true coherence comes when the breath becomes still enough to reflect.

Think of your heart like a mirror. It shows you what’s really inside you, your feelings, your truth.

Your breath is like a spiral. It moves in and out, in circles, always returning to the centre.

When you become still enough to just breathe, your heart mirror becomes clear. Then you can see yourself, and the world, more truly.

That’s what we mean by coherence: when your breath, your heart, and your stillness all line up.

✨ Why Breath First?

Breath is the only rhythm that is both:

â–˛ Involuntary (it happens without you)
â–˛ Voluntary (you can shape it)

This makes it the bridge between your body and your field. When you breathe consciously, you are not controlling; you are phase-locking your awareness to the rhythm of creation itself.

✨ The 0.1 Hz Secret:

Scientific studies (like those at HeartMath) show that a breath cycle of about 10 seconds (5 seconds in, 5 seconds out) creates a 0.1 Hz oscillation in your body.

This is the frequency that:

â–˛ Harmonises heart and brain
â–˛ Stabilises your nervous system
â–˛ Opens the door to deeper intuition and healing

It’s the frequency that whales use to communicate across oceans. And it’s the frequency your body uses to remember safety.

✨ Practical Steps to Begin:

â–˛ Touch Your Heart Centre: Place your palms gently over your sternum. This physical anchor helps your awareness shift from mind to field.

▲ Slow Your Breath: Inhale for 5 seconds. Exhale for 5 seconds. Do this for 1–3 minutes. You are telling your body: “I am safe. I am still.”

â–˛ Feel One of the Four Coherence Emotions: As you breathe, feel appreciation, gratitude, care, compassion. These feelings create the 0.1 Hz field that stabilises your heart.

✨ Why This Matters for Parents:

Children, especially those with unique sensory or emotional fields (like Jack), are highly sensitive to your coherence.

They don’t need you to be perfect. They need you to be present.

When you breathe with coherence, you:

â–˛ Stabilise the field around them
â–˛ Teach them through resonance, not instruction
â–˛ Create a safe spiral for their own breath to return

Coherence is not a goal. It is a state you return to. And the breath is the door.

Begin there. Not with belief. But with stillness.

A Field View of Reality to Explain Human Interconnectedness
The understanding of the world we live in profoundly shifted,” McCraty stated for this article, “after the discovery of electromagnetic fields and the experimental validation of modern quantum physics.” These have helped to give rise to the field view of reality.
“We can no longer think of reality as little building blocks separated by an empty space,” he said. “We now know there is no such thing as empty space and that physical objects, including us, do not exist in isolation, but are part of this holistic web of interconnectedness in which fields and relationships are primary.”

✨ A Gentle Invitation ✨

If you’ve read The Harmonic Child and it resonated with you in some way, I would be so grateful if you considered leaving a short, honest review.

Reviews help this work reach other families who may be quietly searching for understanding and support.

Your words truly make a difference, more than you may realise.

With gratitude,

Today this came up in one of my album memories. This was the moment Jack said his very first word "GO". Silence returned soon after, but is was so special even if just for a moment đź’™

Thank you to everyone who joined our first live meditation last night. I want to acknowledge the audio challenges we experience; they were unexpected, and I apologise for any disruption.

This first session has given us much to reflect on, and I’m listening deeply to what the field is showing us about how to move forward.

My intention for this space is not to lead, but to hold. Not to speak to you, but to create a field where you feel held, where your breath is mirrored, not directed.

I am learning how to hold myself in this open space too, and I’m grateful for your presence as we co-create this together.

We will be running another session in a few weeks, and I hope you’ll join us again as we continue to refine this shared journey of stillness.

🌿 Let's talk about autonomy and what it means in truth

Autonomy for non-speaking autistic individuals: It is not in the act of communication. It is in honour of their how, their when, and their choice.

🌿 What This Means

Autonomy is not performance.
It is not about whether they can speak, type, or point.
It is about whether their presence, their timing, and their methods are respected as valid.

🌿 Choice is not always verbal.

Autonomy is expressed through:

• Eye gaze

• Body posture

• Timing of engagement

• Withdrawal

• Repetition

• Movement

• Stillness

• Breath

These are all choices, and when we honour them, we affirm their sovereignty.

The field must adapt to them

Instead of asking them to adapt to our communication norms, we must:

• Slow down

• Listen with the whole field

• Create space for their timing

• Trust that their choices are meaningful, even if we don’t understand them

What I have learned is this:

Autonomy is not independence. It is self-determination within interdependence. It is not about doing everything alone; it is about choosing how to be supported.

Autonomy is not control. It is coherence through self-alignment.

For non-speaking autistic individuals, this alignment is expressed non-linearly, through rhythm, stillness, and resonance.

I am not teaching Jack to communicate. I am teaching the field to listen in a way that honours his sovereignty.

And that is the highest form of love that I can give him.
