‘Progress over perfection 🤍’

This morning I have been looking back at some of my older nail sets, and it’s really reminded me how far I’ve come. It’s soooooo easy to focus on what still needs improving (and trust me, I always will 👀), but it’s just as important to take a moment to be proud of the growth along the way.

Every set, every client, every little challenge has helped me level up, and I’m still learning and investing in myself every single day.… and that’s the part I love most about this industry.

Another amazing training day today with the lovely Keli ✨

Today we completed the E-File Beginners Course, and to say she smashed it would be an understatement!
This is Keli’s second course with me and it’s always such a pleasure to see students return to continue building their skills and confidence.

Today we covered:
• Health & Safety
• How to correctly set up and use your E-File machine
• Different drill bits and their purposes
• Correct speeds for safe and effective work
• In-depth cuticle prep
• Smoothing the nail plate
• Removing length safely
• Under-the-nail thinning and hygiene - we even managed to squeeze in a recap on gel polish application and getting as close as physically possible without flooding the cuticle.

Keli worked so hard throughout the day and picked everything up brilliantly! I’m super proud of the progress she’s made already and can’t wait to see her continue to grow in the industry.

A little reminder for my fellow nail techs and students… ✨

This set came back after five weeks of wear!!
Lots of growth, but the gel is still glossy, intact and lifting-free 👌🏻

Retention like this, it isn’t luck and it isn’t just the product…It’s prep! Taking the time to properly prep the natural nail, refining your cuticle work, etching correctly, and applying product with intention will always be the difference between a set that lasts and one that doesn’t.

And don’t forget — educating your clients on aftercare (cuticle oil, no picking, treating nails like jewels not tools) plays a big part too.

Prep well, apply well, and the results will speak for themselves.

3-4+ week retention is always the goal. 💅
