Proud Dance Teacher 🧡
Being a dance teacher to our teen groups is something I feel incredibly proud and privileged to be.
We live in a world where young people are facing pressures and expectations like never before. There is so much noise, uncertainty and fear around them, and sometimes it can feel like they are growing up far too quickly.
That’s why watching our teens grow, not only as dancers but as young people, is something I cherish more than words can say.
Yes, I’m proud when I see their technique improve, their confidence grow and their hard work pay off. But what means the most to me is seeing the bond they have built with one another. Watching friendships grow, seeing them encourage each other, celebrate each other’s successes, pick each other up when things don’t go right, and simply know that they have a place where they belong.
Dance has given them so much more than choreography. It has given them a community, confidence, memories and friendships that I hope will stay with them long after they leave the studio.
As their teacher, I may be there to teach them dance, but they teach me something too — that even in a world that can sometimes feel frightening and uncertain, there is still so much beauty in watching young people find their people, believe in themselves and grow together.
I couldn’t be prouder of our teens. Watching the dancers they are becoming is wonderful, but watching the people they are becoming is the greatest privilege of all. 🧡✨
