🏏🏆 CRICKET WALES – SECONDARY SCHOOL OF THE YEAR! 🏆🏏

We are delighted to share that we have been named Cricket Wales Secondary School of the Year, a prestigious award that recognises the development and success of cricket within our school.

A major factor in receiving this award has been the outstanding growth and success of girls' cricket. This includes the increasing number of girls participating in cricket, their enthusiasm and engagement during PE lessons, and the fantastic achievement of our U15 Girls becoming Welsh Softball Cricket Champions.

This award is a reflection of the collective efforts of the entire PE Department. Staff have worked collaboratively to develop and deliver high-quality cricket provision within lessons, provide extracurricular opportunities, and support pupils in achieving success at local and national levels.

However a special thank you must go to Mr Jones, as he has led our cricket programme and has been the driver of girls cricket at Croesyceiliog School.

The award also recognised the strong partnership between Croesyceiliog School and Croesyceiliog Cricket Club, which continues to provide additional opportunities for pupils to participate and develop within the sport.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement. It is a fantastic accolade for the school, the PE Department, and, most importantly, the pupils whose commitment and enthusiasm have made this possible.

⚽🎉 Exciting news! 🎉⚽

A huge congratulations to our Year 8 pupil Charlie, who has been retained by Swansea FC for a further two years as part of their Academy programme.

This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm Charlie shows every day. We are all incredibly proud of him and look forward to following his continued progress.

Howzat! A huge amount of credit goes to our incredible pupils and staff led by Mr R Jones, whose passion and commitment to inspiring more girls to play cricket has been outstanding. The highlight of the season was our U15 Girls team being crowned Welsh Champions! 🏆

What a fantastic start our Year 7 pupils have made at Croesyceiliog School! They were all incredibly well presented and prepared for a very busy day. We are looking forward to welcoming all pupils back to school tomorrow.
