Parents/carers of our incoming Year 7 cohort should have received a letter by email inviting their child to a team building day in September.
On Thursday 10 September, we will be taking Year 7 to PGL Little Canada for an action-packed day designed to help students settle in, make friends and build strong bonds with their new peers and teachers.

The year 6 children had a workshop in school about different parts of a river and what wildlife and man-made constructs were to be found in and around a river. This was followed by a trip to the River Medina where children explored the river, made rafts and examined different wildlife that they had caught in the river.

As part of the Isle of Wight Storytelling festival, all of the children have enjoyed visits from authors, storytellers and even magicians today! We have listened to magical tales, created shadow puppet theatre, written magic charms and even learned about the Isle of Wight ghost ship HMS Eurydice.

This week, Year 1 and Year 6 visited our local park to collect data as part of a special task. The teacher introduced a fictional story in which someone needed information gathered for the Prime Minister, and the children were given the responsibility of completing this mission.
After returning to school, the children created messy maps of the park to record their observations and ideas. From their discussions, they decided that the park would benefit from having more picnic tables.
