🐴 Help us support Changing Lives Through Horses 🐴

We’ve created an Amazon wishlist to help us make our CLTH sessions even more engaging, accessible and enjoyable for the children and young people we work with.

If anyone would like to purchase something from the list, every contribution big or small will be genuinely appreciated and put to good use. There is absolutely no pressure to buy; sharing the post would also be a huge help!
Thank you, as always, for supporting our programme and the wonderful young people who take part. ❤️

✨️ Meet the changing lives team ✨️

Niamh

I am a new member at Quarry Farm and so excited to be joining the team.

I have over 10 years experience in the Equestrian world particularly in Coaching and Rehabilitation. I started my career over in Ireland where I trained and qualified as an instructor before moving to england in 2023. Over the past 3 years, i had the opportunity to work for two equine rehabilitation charities working with and helping many horses live better lives, alongside some really dedicated and experienced teams.

I take huge pride in teaching and most of all i love watching young people grow in confidence and develop their skills around horses. Im really looking forward to return to something i have always loved doing and being part of such an amazing team. I am a harding working individual with a bubbly and cheerful personality and always try my very best.

I mostly enjoy a bit of dressage and jumping with a side of funrides and hacking and the occasional competition with my own horse, a nine year old Connemara pony called Corrib

✨️ Meet the changing lives team! ✨️

Hi I’m Georgie and I’ve been working with horses for 17 years, and have been teaching for 15 of those years. Over the years, I’ve worked my way through my British Horse Society exams and I’m now a BHS Stage 3 Accredited Professional Coach.

Teaching and helping both horses and riders develop has always been something I’m incredibly passionate about. I feel very lucky to be able to call this my job. I genuinely get to do what I love every single day!

What a year! 💙🐴

It's never just about horses.
It's about the child who found their confidence.
The young person who discovered they could succeed.
The friendships that were built, the resilience shown on difficult days, the laughter, muddy boots, proud moments and milestones achieved.

This year has seen participants achieve their PDQs, create a wildlife pond sanctuary to support local biodiversity, and round off the year with an unforgettable trip to Hickstead for some of our young people.🎉

⭐️A huge thank you to our incredible staff, schools, families and carers for your continued support, and of course to our wonderful horses.⭐️

Whether we're seeing you over the summer or welcoming you back in September, we can't wait to make more memories together. 🌞

Today we said goodbye to one of our lovely CLTH participants as she heads off on her next adventure. 🤩

It has been a pleasure watching her grow in confidence, develop new skills, and become such a valued part of our centre. The beautiful message from her mum means so much to us and reminds us why we do what we do.

We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and can't wait to see what the future holds for her. Wishing you all the luck and happiness in this exciting new chapter🐴🌟

✨ Last week, our participants had a wonderful time sharing all about themselves! ✨

We started by creating "All About Me" wheels, where everyone filled them with their favourite things, hobbies, and fun facts. 🎨

Next, we made self-portraits and celebrated what makes us unique by writing down our favourite qualities about ourselves. 💖

To finish the week, everyone got creative with acrostic poems, using the letters of their names to describe their personalities and strengths. ✍️

It was fantastic to see everyone expressing themselves, building confidence, and learning more about one another. We loved seeing all the creativity and individuality shine through! 🌟

This week we’ve been crocheting beautiful sunflowers while learning all about gardening and how plants grow. 🌻🧶

As we planted seeds and explored what plants need to thrive, sunlight, water, soil, and care, we used crochet to create our own colourful sunflowers inspired by nature. It’s been a lovely way to combine creativity with learning.

Crocheting helps improve concentration, patience, and fine motor skills, while gardening teaches responsibility and an understanding of the natural world. Together, they encourage mindfulness, confidence, and creativity in such a calming and enjoyable way.

We love seeing our handmade flowers bloom while we learn how real ones grow too! 🌱✨
