Genuinely curious what you think of this

Have you followed a cycle syncing approach?
Better? Any difference?

Do you train differently based on cycle or based on how you feel on the day/how well you slept/how stressy your day was etc

Don’t like the gym? - no probs

Don’t like classes? - ok

There may be an element of you just haven’t found something you enjoy *yet*
But I’d still do something

Time poor?
Push ups off the kitchen worktop
Squats while the kettle boils

10 min on the clock - pick 2-3 exercises

Do something

Walking is amazing - but not enough for your bones

As many as 1 in 2 women will break a bone due to osteoporosis

This image is all over social media atm (don’t know who first shared it to give credit). For good reason.

Many of the ladies we coach had never done strength training before (perhaps even intimidated by it). You won’t get bulky.
You will however get strong and increase confidence in your own ability.
Getting toned is also a nice added bonus

Most women (and especially so in mid life) are not eating enough protein.

1 egg and a slice of toast isn’t going to cut it for a meal.

Here’s a full day of eating *example* to reach +110g total
⬇️⬇️

Breakfast
200g 0% Greek yogurt, berries + 15g chia seed

Snack
2x babybel light + flat white

Lunch
Tin tuna in wholemeal sandwich

Dinner
Chicken curry & rice made with 150g chicken

Avoid these if trying to lose bodyfat - simple really 💅🏻🙄

Anyone else get the short straw? I’m only 5ft 3 (and a pinch 🤪)

Desk based? Inactive, not workout out > need less cals than you think.
Try as best you can to get steps up. Even add 1k onto your norm. Energy expenditure but more than that -mood, digestion, mobility, being alive.

Hormones. Blessed to be women 💃🏼
You don’t need to try to balance them. You don’t need a hormone plan. Or a cycle syncing anything either.

Breakfast? Who needs it anyway.. fasting is trending.
Easy way to cut cals. Tough way to make sure you can get enough protein, fats, fibre…
cutting back as much as you can during the day can also lead to heading straight for the munchies later in day..

Restaurants and takeaway portions can often be over 2000 calories. If you’re a pint sized woman like myself that could be more than your daily calories in one meal.
I’m *definitely* not saying don’t eat out - but it does take being mindful.

Lift weights. You don’t get bulky accidentally. Building muscle takes effort. And time.
Lift. Future you will thank you. Muscle helps too 💪🏻 shape, tone, sculpt but also independence.

Not getting enough fibre (or protein) > not feeling full from meals, more likely to snack and graze and open the fridge and cupboard multiple times to see it anything else will curb that sweet tooth 💃🏼

If it wasn’t at all clear. This is sarcastic.
Please please don’t avoid weights. Don’t quit your desk job. Don’t try to cycle sync workouts or food. Don’t avoid breakfast or eating out or carbs.

These ladies eat carbs. Lift weights. Eat out.

Super filling. Nutrient dense.
All the colour 🙌🏻🌈

1 tin of black beans
250g frozen edamame beans
200g frozen sweetcorn
Diced bell pepper
20ml olive oil
Loads of coriander & lime
Season to suit
Avo would be lovely too - didn’t have any

(cover frozen veg in water & microwave 3min)

3 servings
Per serving
314 cals
17g protein
13g fibre

Top with your protein (or as is and have as a veggie option)
I had it with salmon 😋
