Welcome to Rent Guarantor Survey 07/06/2018

Hey guys! Hope that you are doing well. Your help is greatly appreciated - I need people to fill out this quick questionnaire which might be really useful for international students in the UK! Thank you!!

Also, there's still a chance to run for a position as next year's committee member.
Simply send us a message and we will discuss further. Deadline is tomorrow!

The venue for the Ankara charity sale event is the Lounge in Student Union tomorrow from 6-8pm. There will be free refreshments and snacks as well! Please check our last post for more details🤗

Fashion Show 03/06/2016

Hi guys

We have a few announcements about the society. We will be hosting an African-themed charity fashion sale event on the 8th of June (Venue to be confirmed).
The last UNICEF fundraising event was a success. We were able to raise £600 and we want to thank all those who took part. We have set up this event for those who are still interested in buying some of our rich and colourful designs. Light up your wardrobe this summer with our African-styled clothes and hand made jewellery. Entry is FREE!
There will be refreshments and snacks.
Please click the link below for samples of the items to be sold at the event. https://youtu.be/yQNgvQv-26w
Prices will start from as low as £5 and up to £20. All proceeds go to a Nigerian charity.

ELECTIONS!
Our tenure is coming to an end and unfortunately we still need people to take over the society. If no one comes forward to run for next year, we are afraid the Nigerian society would be shut down for good!
Reasons to run for a committee position:
• We have affiliation with a large company which provides opportunity for networking • It would be a great platform to enhance your employability skills and create great contacts
• You get to plan events that promote cultural diversity in the University and most importantly you can add it to your CV
The positions available include:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Social secretary
Treasurer
Sports officer
PRO
We have put in a lot of effort to make the society better and well known, so it will be a shame for the society to be shut down.
The elections will be held on 8th of June in the student union. If you are interested, please prepare a portfolio before the day and also send us an email. The manifesto should last 1-2 minutes, or you could do a video or presentation on why you want to run.

Best of luck in your exams!
