Getonline Week continues. After having a chat about their daily routines, learners use the computer to record what they have shared.

Day 2 of

On Day 2 of Get Online Week, under this year’s Good Things theme , we introduced our attendees to AI, focusing on the voice model.

We explained how the voice model can be especially helpful for people who don’t speak English or aren’t confident using a computer or phone to type. The voice model can listen and respond just like a real person, so users don’t need someone else to translate or assist them.

Our staff demonstrated how to use the voice model for things like:

* Translating conversations

* Writing and checking emails

* Creating a CV

* Asking questions or getting help - all in their own language

We gave learners a chance to try it out themselves, and they were very excited to see what AI could do. Many of them asked our staff to help them download and log in to ChatGPT so they could keep learning and practising. We also reminded them of how to use AI safely.

We ended the day with a lovely meal together, wrapping up another successful and inspiring session.
