We still have places available across all of our CPD sessions, and we would be delighted to welcome more colleagues from schools across the North East.
All CPD is fully funded (and therefore free of charge), and sessions are designed to support everyone; from non-specialists gaining confidence, to experienced practitioners looking to develop specific areas of their practice.
Places are limited at each venue, so we encourage early booking to secure a spot!

Music Connects Sunderland are seeking a freelance practitioner to support primary schools across the city through the remainder of the 25-26 academic year and are inviting expressions of interest.

Working alongside members of the Music Connects Sunderland team, the Primary Support will develop relationships and engage in 1:1 conversations with Primary Music Leads and specialists to support them to develop curricular, co-curricular and enrichment offers that meet the needs of the children and young people in their settings.

Calling everybody who loves to sing to participate in a 1-day climate action
workshop and performance on 18 October led by Uta Kögelsberger as part of a nation-wide event: Remember Nature.
The work will be filmed and screened at Tate Modern on 4 November.

Newcastle Youth Choir had a brilliant time at “Everyone Can Sing” yesterday, part of Newcastle University’s Discover Festival, which also featured the music department’s undergraduate chamber choir.

From Vaughan Williams to Ezra Collective (via Carly Simon and Karine Polwart), the audience were also guided by our Young Leaders who shared their thoughts on the joy of singing and warming up your voice (and got everyone up on their feet for a whole load of singing and dancing!). Both choirs also gave a performance of Eleanor Cully Boehringer’s piece To Face the Sun, commissioned by Newcastle Youth Choir in 2024.
