We’re out and about in the city centre today until 1pm with young singers from Kingston Park Primary, South Gosforth First, Great Park Academy, Chillingham Road Primary, Atkinson Road Primary and West Jesmond Primary with our Newcastle Sings pop up choir performances.

LOOKING FOR A CHOIR
We’ve just been sent this message and hope somebody could help!

This year Newcastle city council are finally hosting an Armed Forces day event on Saturday 27 June! I know very short notice but we have only had 4 weeks to turn around this event.

The choir we had coming have just told us that they will not be attending and we are low in need of a choir to support us.

We would need 2 songs
I vow to thee they country and Jerusalem.

The event takes place at Civic Centre in Newcastle and is the first since 2022.

There is a big armed forces community in Newcastle and I am the co-founder and chair of Newcastle Veterans hub which was set up last year. We want to show the armed forces community of Newcastle that the city can come together to support them.

We still have places available across all of our CPD sessions, and we would be delighted to welcome more colleagues from schools across the North East.
All CPD is fully funded (and therefore free of charge), and sessions are designed to support everyone; from non-specialists gaining confidence, to experienced practitioners looking to develop specific areas of their practice.
Places are limited at each venue, so we encourage early booking to secure a spot!

Music Connects Sunderland are seeking a freelance practitioner to support primary schools across the city through the remainder of the 25-26 academic year and are inviting expressions of interest.

Working alongside members of the Music Connects Sunderland team, the Primary Support will develop relationships and engage in 1:1 conversations with Primary Music Leads and specialists to support them to develop curricular, co-curricular and enrichment offers that meet the needs of the children and young people in their settings.
