Something exciting is coming and I can’t wait to share it with you…
I’ve been working so hard behind the scenes on something that I’ve created especially to help parents of children with school refusal and anxiety achieve a more peaceful and confident approach to their child’s education and well-being.
There’s a whole story behind this that I’m going to get vulnerable and share with you, but for now, if you’ve been struggling with feeling helpless as your child refuses to go to school, constantly battling anxiety, and not knowing how to support them in a way that actually works, just know there’s a solution on the way (and it’s going to be amazing)!
I’m revealing everything next week, but in the meantime, if you’re a parent who is desperate to help your child overcome school refusal and anxiety, then get in touch – DM/comment. I’ll put you on my early bird VIP list, and you’ll be the first to know when it’s out!

✨ A new chapter ✨

Some of you will remember my Forest School business, Go Wild With Nature. The pandemic shifted everything and with a heavy heart I closed that chapter 💔🌿

But endings plant the seeds of new beginnings…

Over the last few years I’ve been retraining + reshaping my work:
🌱 Outdoor Mental Health & Mindfulness
🌱 NLP Practitioner & Coach
🌱 Hypnosis & Time-Line Therapy

From this, Strong Roots Coaching was born - supporting parents, children + teens to move from stress + disconnection → towards calm, confidence + belonging (to themselves, their families + to nature).

Right now I’m creating an audio toolkit for anxious families 🎧 - a gentle resource to lean on when life feels overwhelming.

And this autumn… I’m stepping outside my comfort zone again 🍂 I’ll be training as an Outdoor & Adventure Therapist - weaving my love of nature with therapeutic coaching to support families in deeper ways.

It feels like finding my feet again, but walking a new path 🌱✨

Thank you for being here - I can’t wait to share this journey with you 🤍

Cornwall gave us exactly what we needed… slow mornings, salt on our skin, and the kind of rest that only comes when the sea sets the pace. 🌊✨

Hatchi was in her element - racing the waves, ears flying, tail wagging - until the sea wore her out and she curled up for the sweetest sandy nap. 🐾💙

A week of breathing deeper, moving slower, and remembering how simple joy can be. 🌿

You’re not alone in asking this. I hear it from so many parents and the truth is, it’s not just your child.

Our teens are growing up in a world that moves too fast for their developing nervous systems.

Their bodies and brains are constantly absorbing:
📲 Information from screens and social media
🏫 Pressure from school and achievement systems
🌍 Global stress, uncertainty, and change
😶‍🌫️ Emotional disconnection - at home, in school, and with peers

The nervous system is designed to keep us safe but when it’s constantly activated (by stress, pressure, noise, or fear), it can go into survival mode. For teens, this might look like:

➡️ Panic attacks
➡️ Avoidance or withdrawal
➡️ Big emotional outbursts
➡️ Trouble sleeping or focusing
➡️ Always feeling “on edge”

This isn’t about your parenting or their attitude.
It’s about overwhelm in the body and the good news is: there are gentle ways to support it.

In upcoming posts, I’ll be sharing small shifts and tools that can help your teen regulate, feel safer, and reconnect with you.

💚 You’re not failing. You’re learning. And you’re not alone.

Let’s keep exploring this together. 🌱
