✨ What a year it’s been for Northcroft School! ✨

As we close another academic year, we are taking a moment to reflect on so many incredible glimmers of success and celebration.

This year has been full of milestones. We welcomed our very first Ofsted inspection, supported our first cohort of students through their examinations, and continued to watch our young people grow in confidence, resilience and independence every single day.

None of this would have been possible without our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and, most importantly, our amazing students, who continue to inspire us.

As we look ahead to September, we are excited to welcome a fantastic new team, including a Science Specialist, as we continue to grow and strengthen the opportunities available for our young people.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year. We hope all of our families, staff and students have a wonderful, well-deserved summer break.

🥞🔥 Year 9 at Paddocks 🔥🥞
This week, Year 9 learners continued developing their wild self-care skills at Paddocks. They worked together to make pancake batter, build a fire safely, and enjoy the pancakes they helped create. It was fantastic to see such great teamwork, patience and fire safety awareness throughout the session. Well done, everyone! 👏🌿

🌈 Pride Month Celebration 🌈
We were proud to celebrate Pride Month with a range of meaningful activities that promoted equality, diversity, and inclusion across our school community.
Students took part in an enriching day of learning and celebration, beginning with an educational session exploring the significance of Pride Month and the importance of respect and equality for all.
The day also included a visit to Northcroft Lido for a wellbeing-focused swimming session, followed by creative activities such as cake decorating, bracelet making, and collaborative art.
Each student received a “Love is Love” wristband, reinforcing the values of acceptance and inclusion that we champion as a school.
💙 Together, we continued to foster a culture where everyone felt valued, respected, and able to be their authentic selves.

We’re proud to announce that we have received a Strong Standards outcome following the Ofsted inspection! ⭐️

The report recognised our ambitious vision, highly individualised approach and the meaningful progress our pupils are making both academically and personally. Inspectors praised pupils’ “impressive and highly positive attitudes to learning” and highlighted the calm, caring support that helps young people feel safe, build confidence and succeed.

The inspection also recognised the value of our enhanced opportunities, including weekly learning sessions at the farm and woodland provision, alongside our strong focus on personal development, emotional regulation and life skills.
