Harvest Donations for West Berks Foodbank. As part of our Harvest celebrations, families from Quackers Day Nursery & Pre-School in Chieveley kindly donated food items to support the West Berks Foodbank. Together, we collected five large crates filled with generous contributions.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our families for their kindness and support in helping those in need within our community.

Remembrance Day at Quackers Day Nursery & Pre-School, Chieveley. Our children created their own beautiful poppy pictures, and we had a lovely Remembrance display at the front of the nursery. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about respect, kindness, and remembrance in a meaningful way.

This week the children have been exploring the festival of lights through a range of exciting activities, looking at light and shadow, creating firework paintings, making clay diyas/“lamps”, designing colourful Rangoli patterns and listening to Diwali stories.

Our children have absolutely loved exploring our learning tables, using all their senses to discover, create, and play.

From painting and fine motor activities, to exploring textures and temperatures, enjoying water play, gardening, and building with sand, every moment has been full of curiosity, laughter, and hands on learning.

From finding colourful leaves to spotting tiny bugs, the children loved discovering all the wonders of nature around them. There’s nothing better than learning through play and exploration.

What a special day at Quackers Day Nursery & Pre-School in Chieveley! The farm came to visit, and the children had an unforgettable experience meeting and interacting with our adorable animal guests.

From cuddling fluffy chicks and chickens to meeting lambs, guinea pigs, a gentle pony, and even a tiny mouse, smiles were everywhere.
